Our TransPerfect Media France team had the great pleasure of writing the audio description for ‘Good Morning, Vietnam’.

This 1987 comedy-drama stars Robin Williams as Adrian Cronauer, a radio host who brings a spark of humour to the Vietnam War with his quite unconventional broadcasts, winning the affection of his fellow soldiers while stirring up conflict with his military superiors.

For this historical feature involving military equipment and traditional clothing, meticulous research was crucial to the writing process. You will learn about Bell Huey helicopters, Kalashnikovs and M-16 rifles, Fairchild C-123 transport planes, as well as the Non La, the traditional Vietnamese hat.

Our authors also had to adapt their writing style to the alternation of fast and slow sequences, from bucolic landscapes to fast-paced shots cadenced by music.

Les jeux de mots basés sur l’univers aquatique du petit requin sont légion dans la version originale, et nos auteurs de doublage se démènent au quotidien pour que vous n’en perdiez pas une crevette en version française !

Que faire lorsque les requins s’en vont pour une family swim ? On les envoie faire une promenage en famille ! Et si leur petit-déjeuner préféré est un bol de floatmeal, proposons-leur plutôt des flottons d’avoine.

Our TransPerfect Media studios in Paris had the pleasure of dubbing and subtitling season 3 of Warrior, which is now available in French on Canal+ in Switzerland, on Pass Warner exclusively on Prime Video Channels in France, on BeTV in Belgium and Super Écran in French Canada. The cult TV show was inspired by the writings of martial arts master Bruce Lee.

Set during the Tong Wars in late 1870s San Francisco, the series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China in search of his missing sister, and is soon drawn into the underground world of the tongs, an array of clashing gangs and secret societies formed by Chinese immigrants. In season 3, Mai Ling uses her government connections to consolidate her power, while Ah Sahm and the Hop Wei must find new ways to survive.
