Sixteen is a new photography publication that investigates the notions of emotionality, human form and time. First issue is out in Spring 2016.

Sixteen is an independent photography publication that investigates notions of the human condition. A philosophical odyssey of emotionality, human form and time, it takes inspiration from the visual language of the first half of the 20th century. Published bi-annually, Sixteen gives a creative platform to emerging and established artists to share their vision outside of the commercial habitat.

As young Anastassia matures and begins making decisions for herself, the wishes of her passionate mother are left behind. Amongst such disagreements, a more serious issue rises to change everything. Ana must rely on her memories to guide her forward through grief. The story shines a light on one family’s journey through a loving relationship to an unexpected tragedy, and the hope that they must create for themselves.

Henry O. Head is a contemporary photographer whose work merges observational intimacy with poetic realism.
