🌈 Rainbow, by - New book available
So excited to release this new book, available in bookstores from the 4th of December, and from now on on our (new!) website 🎉
Through seven chromatic narratives, Rainbow explores the emotional resonance of color as a state of consciousness, a fragment of memory, or a physical sensation. Each story unfolds an inner world bathed in a dominant hue – red, yellow, indigo, orange, violet, cyan, green – playing out the score of each tone. These narratives evoke delicate relationships between beings, gestures of care, and shared silences.
The universal nature of these movements, coupled with a sequence rich in ellipses, opens up a vast space for interpretation, where each reader can project their feelings, memories, or dreams, beyond language and generations.
Maria Medem’s graphic work, both minimal and vibrant, plays with solid and empty spaces, repetition and transformation, to create an almost meditative reading tempo. Each page invites you to slow down, to feel, and to turn back. The drawing, always at the service of a carefully structured narration, asserts itself as a language of its own.
