Pikimup Records is a young French label founded in Paris in 2010, dedicated to electronic music, especially to techno, Minimal and Tech-House. Vix Neiv, the label founder, has developed a very personal style over many years of sonic experimentation and musical collaborations. "Minimul EP", an EP of remixes based on "Minimul" a ternary-rhythm minimal track notably played by Richie Hawtin. "Dark Si
bylline", a concept 4-track album combining minimal, techno and ambient sounds, including "Salina's Prophecy" supported and played by many artists, such as Peja and Go! These first two releases were followed by EPs by Silencyo, Nico FromBerlin and Mynude and a compilation of remixes of the best Pikimup tracks for the first anniversary of the label. In 2013 Pikimup releases the new Vix Neiv “Bigity EP”, featuring guitarist Seb Martel (-M-, Camille, Femi Kuti...), and remixes by Click Click (Kassette Records), Cesko (Treem) and Silencyo, a record played by Digitaria (Hot Creations) and the first EP by our new artist Drux : “Glück Auf”, with remixes by Le Disxco (Draft) and Eric Johnston (Archipel, Leftrom), a release supported by Troy Pierce, Tim Green, Stacey Pullen, Orde Meikle..
2014 has been more quiet, and Pikimup Records comes back now with the release of the new EP by Yul “Kraklet EP”. A record made of 3 original tracks, a dark and sensual yet minimal and abundant production which extended a little more the scope of the label’s soundscape.
