When fashion meets tradition - Romanian artist Mircea Cantor creates the newest Lady Dior bag design inspired by the Romanian traditional motifs
🇷🇴• 👜 •🍃

• - I feel proud and honored to leave my touch on the iconic Lady Dior bag. My creation is called the Garden of paradise (Jardin du Paradis/ Grădina Raiului) inspired by a jacket that I found in the region în Romania from where my grandmother comes and superposing it on the square pattern derived from the classic Dior bags - a pattern that reminds me the rationality of The Chateau de Versailles gardens . Leather ropes twisted to enhance a solar geometry that ravels in front of your eyes like an endless entrelacs . Beyond the inherent beauty that radiates, I wanted to pay hommage to a lineage of artisans and krafts men that keep the flame alive via a permanent renewal of what we can call a universal tradition and savoir faire.
