Merci à ’Zine (NL) pour cette chronique du premier album de PulciPerla « Tatekieto »
PULCIPERLA is a combination of Columbian percussion players/female singers LA PERLA and Toulouse, France based jazzy funk band PULCINELLA. LA PERLA consists of Diana Sanmiguel (Vocals, Maracas, Guacharaca), Giovanna Mogollón (Vocals, Tambor Alegre) and Karen Forero (Vocals, Gaïta, Tambora), while PULCINELLA consists of Ferdinand Doumerc (Sax, Flutes, Keyboards), Jean-Marc Serpin (Double Bass), Bastien Andrieu (Keyboards) and Pierre Pollet (Drums). Together they joined forces and came up with PULCIPERLA’s album Tatekieto. The music is groovy, jazzy, funky and feels like one long creative explosion of southern American carnival trip crossed with New Orleans jazzy brass funk, so a real busy affair that could easily be placed on the North Sea Jazz festival line-up. Without a doubt, this is a fun joyful record that is highly recommended to fans of especially South American music with a 70s psychedelic vibe here and there! More info can be found at:
