📌 Superchained est un projet musical mené par Hugo Lanvin depuis 2017. Il en est l’unique membre et compose et enregistre l’intégralité des morceaux et albums. Après quelque temps à chercher son propre son, le premier EP intitulé The 0,00$ EP voit le jour en 2019, suivi du premier album Strangekind en 2022, ce qui permet au projet de poser ses bases et de définir son univers musical.

Après la sortie de cet album, l’avenir de Superchained était incertain, car un second album n’avait jamais été envisagé. L’idée initiale était simplement de publier un album de dix morceaux correspondant au mieux à l’identité du groupe. La question principale pour Hugo était alors : « Dois-je continuer ce projet ou me consacrer à d’autres ? »

Face à cette interrogation, des doutes sont survenus, accompagnés de remises en question, mais surtout d’un profond désir de sortir un nouvel album pour affirmer l’identité du groupe. Il n’était pas question de faire un Strangekind bis. Ce nouvel opus devait représenter une évolution logique, sans trahir les racines du groupe tout en explorant certains styles toujours appréciés.

📌 Superchained is a musical project led by Hugo Lanvin since 2017. He is its sole member, composing and recording all tracks and albums himself. After a period of searching for his own sound, the first EP, The 0,00$ EP, was released in 2019, followed by the debut album Strangekind in 2022. These releases allowed the project to establish its foundation and define its musical universe.

After Strangekind, the future of Superchained was uncertain, since a second album had never been part of the plan. The initial idea was simply to release one album of ten songs that would best embody the band’s identity. The main question for Hugo then became: “Should I continue this project or move on to something else?”

Faced with this dilemma, doubts and self-questioning arose, but also a strong desire to release another album to truly affirm the project’s identity. The goal was never to create a Strangekind II. This new record had to represent a logical evolution—remaining faithful to the band’s roots while also exploring styles he had always admired.

📌 Founded in 2005 by Adz. (Reflecting the Light, Kaamosmasennus, Salaman Isku, .eterniteduchaos.), the project was from the very beginning oriented toward misanthropic, brutal, and industrial music.
After three albums, the project was put on hold in 2017... Until 2023, when Thy Apokalypse was revived with the completely unexpected composition of "Fragment quatrième (Metacosmos)", a concept album about artificial intelligence, which Bitume released in September 2025 to mark the project's 20th anniversary.
