I just adopted him. He used to live on the streets, curled up to escape the cold, hunger, and fear. His eyes say it all-mistrust, pain, and the tiniest glimmer of hope. He's still scared, flinching at every sound... but I'll be here. Every day, I'll show him he doesn't have to hide or run anymore. Here, he will be loved.
Here, he can breathe. Welcome, little one. No more surviving-now you get to live.
