Salomon’s new Horizon range is a pared down, yet focused group of freeride snowboards that puts the fun back into soft snow board design. Call it what you want - The Romain Gap, The Nico Gap or The Avoriaz Gap - but this 8m drop over the home run from Le Fornet back to Avoriaz has earned legendary status in snowboarding, having only ever been hit by a handful of riders - and none at all in the last 13 years. Peter Bauer’s impact on snowboarding has been immense, from being a world champion athlete to a core part of the Burton R and D team to establishing Amplid snowboards over 20 years ago. Some trips are more ambitious than others such as Victor Daviet and Soren Rickard’s epic Mongolian odyssey that takes pride of place in this year’s annual. Check out the teaser for the new Home Break event that took place at Steamboat Spring, Colorado this spring ‘Home Break is an annual modified halfpipe build at Steamboat Resorts with the goal of promoting creativity, and style-forward snowboarding, on transition focused features. In our 3rd year running the event, both the scale of the build and rider support around the event continue to grow, and we’ve had the pleasure to host riders and media from around the globe. We’re already planning for and looking forward to our 4th iteration of the event in spring 2026.

Since 1989 The Brits has been the number one place for UK snowboarders to put their marker down on the competition scene. While it has grown from a handful of riders in Scotland to hundreds competing across Europe, The Brits has always retained its focus on the shred community. April 2025 saw the event return to the Alps and Mayrhofen in Austria for a week of heavy snow, sun and above all good times.
