Don't be like this lady. Her TV isn't working and she's so confused as to why, that she's forgotten to do her hair! Don't risk going out in the party season with bad hair! Make sure your TV is working for Christmas.

Time is running out fast to make sure you can watch the King's Speech (the film 📽️, not the rich fella with the big hat telling us what a tough year it's been 🫅). I have a limited availability, but might be able to get to you in if I'm in your area.

Er, Happy World TV Day! 🤔 Yes, it's a real thing. The United Nations has said so. It commemorates the date of the first World Television Forum (nope, me neither...) in 1996.

Don't be bored at Christmas like this lady. It could be because that based on the size of her tree, all of her presents are tiny. But it could also be because she's missing The Great Escape on ITV (again).

Don't let this happen to you! If you need to keep the family under control this year and want to be able to relax after spending all morning cooking, then make sure your satellite system is working. Or that you even have one!

Today, Fransat has started rolling out a number of security updates, which somehow will take under the 27th of April next year! 🤔 Unfortunately, they advise that older Fransat HD receivers will be unable to receive these updates and the TNT channels (basically all the main ones) will stop working!

You can verify if your decoder will be affected by going to Fransat channel 999 where you should hopefully see a screen confirming your equipment is compatible. If you see only a black screen, that means it isn't.

Please note, Fransat is for French satellite TV and is not the same as Freesat which is for UK TV. Do not panic and worry that you'll lose your Freesat service. Not yet anyway...

Hi all. Just a reminder that I offer a 'video call' assistance service. This might be useful for those little issues you can't resolve but may not require an 'in person' visit. Or perhaps I don't cover your area?

Had such an example yesterday. The client was trying to set up their own satellite dish but couldn't get a good signal on all channels. Using the video service, I was able to see that the LNB was not set correctly. After talking him through the correct set up for it and watching whilst he tuned in his satellite receiver, all was well. Good signal, happy client.

For those who need to replace their trusty old 'Humax' Freesat recording box, then ordering from here is a good option https://freesat.ie/collections/freesat-hd

The company is based in Ireland so you can pay in EUR and not have to worry about customs charges.

Bear in mind that Humax have not made Freesat receivers for a few years now, so don't go looking for one.

I have no affiliation with freesat.ie (and that's not me in the photo), but I know of quite a few people who have used them and speak highly of them.

Yes!!! Someone likes me! 🎉🎊 Received the below when I arrived home this evening. Thank you Neil. Much appreciated.

I would totally recommend Stuart for his work. He had to travel across the Department to us for what I thought would be just a tune in.

It turned out to be a total dish install which involved getting onto the roof and fitting a chimney bracket to get us a good signal.
Stuart was punctual, professional and knowledgeable and very personable. His work was very neat and tidy, going above and beyond to remove an old sat dish .
