The UK Government is nationally testing the Emergency Alerts service on Sunday, 7th September 2025. Every compatible mobile phone or tablet will receive an alert. The government does not need your phone number to send you an alert; emergency alerts are broadcast from mobile phone masts. This follows the first successful test in April 2023. Surrey Police has announced that it is to open a Community Policing Hub in Ash, which will be launched at 12:00 pm (midday) on Tuesday, 9th September 2025. The hub will be located at The Ash Centre on Ash Hill Road. This initiative is part of a trial period, which will be reviewed to assess its effectiveness in enhancing community policing efforts in the area....
