New Post Office Drop & Collect Branch Opening in Ash Village Center

A new Post Office service is coming to Ash later this month. This lighter, flexible branch format has been developed in partnership with Payzone to meet growing demand for parcel services. Customers will be able to access bill payments, mobile top-ups, and prepaid parcel collections and returns via a handheld device. The Post Offices notes that personal and business banking services will not be available at this location....

A new Post Office Drop & Collect branch opens at Ash Local, 242 Shawfield Road on 22 Jan 2026. Open daily 08:00–22:00 for parcels, bill payments, and top-ups.

Commuters in Ash Vale may soon receive long-awaited news on plans to make the station fully accessible. Local MP Sir Jeremy Hunt (Godalming and Ash) pressed the Transport Secretary for an update on the proposal to install step-free access at Ash Vale station. Improvements Completed at Harpers Recreation Ground

Ash Parish Council (APC) has completed the first of a series of significant upgrades at Harpers Recreation Ground. These enhancements aim to improve accessibility, safety, and enjoyment for all residents. The works were completed in December 2025. What’s New? Safer Access: A new tarmac footpath now runs along the western perimeter of the recreation ground, providing a safe pedestrian route from Guildford Road and connecting key areas within the park....

upgrades at Harpers Recreation Ground include a safe footpath, better drainage, new play area, and car park extension for residents.

Permission has been granted to carry out utility works on Ash Hill Road, which will involve multi-way signal lights at various locations throughout January 2026. The scheduled dates for these works are:

New Year’s Day Community action day in Ash

Residents of Ash and Ash Vale welcomed the New Year with a positive act of community spirit as volunteers came together on New Year’s Day for a clean-up around the Ash Vale Station area. The event was organised by Nasser Bhatti, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Ash, with support from Ash Parish Council and St Mary’s Church, Ash Vale. Volunteers focused on streets identified as priority areas by local councillors, helping ensure the village starts the year clean, welcoming, and well cared for....
