Surrey County Council (SCC) has advertised that it will be conducting bus Stop improvements, including footway works, kerbing, lining and signage upgrades. Two-way signal lights will be placed on Ash Street. The works are scheduled between 11th November 2025 and 20th January 2026 (10 weeks). The map provided indicates an area within which the works will take place....

The roadworks on Vale Road, near the Canal Road Bridge, is currently scheduled to be in place until the 14th of November whilst BT Openreach complete utility works

On Sunday 9th November 2025, the community of Ash will once again gather in solemn reflection for the annual Remembrance Service and Parade, hosted by Ash Parish Council APC. The emergency gas repair works have been extended until the 4th of November. This could change again and the bus route along this road is diverted.

Surrey County Council is preparing to implement a Natural Flood Management (NFM) project across the Ash Military Ranges in summer 2026, with the goal of reducing flood risk in Ash and Ash Vale while enhancing the local environment. Natural Flood Management uses nature-based solutions such as temporary ponds (scrapes), woody leaky barriers, and restored wetlands to slow and store rainwater. These features replicate natural processes to reduce downstream flooding and improve water quality, carbon capture, and biodiversity....

The government has approved sweeping changes to the structure of local government in Surrey. The existing system of one county council and 11 district/borough councils will be abolished and replaced by two new unitary authorities, known provisionally as “East Surrey” and “West Surrey”. As part of the process, a £500 million bailout has been agreed to address the financial crisis affecting some councils in the area....

SGN has been granted permission to conduct urgent repair works, resulting in multi-way signal lights on Shawfield Road. The works are situated between Wi******er Road and Culverlands Crescent. Works started on 20th October and are currently due to complete by 28th October 2025.
