Pre-owned Tesla values have surged nearly 20% over the past 90 days according to CarGurus data, with every model in the lineup seeing gains. The Model X leads the pack with a massive 33% increase followed by Model Y at 11%, Model 3 at 10%, Model S at 9% and Cybertruck at 2%. The Model X jump is particularly notable given that Tesla just announced the end of Model S and X production with the Signature Edition sellout, meaning supply of these vehicles will only shrink from here while demand for a used one grows. Rising used values are a strong signal for the broader Tesla ecosystem because higher resale prices reduce the total cost of ownership for new buyers and make financing more attractive since the car holds its value better than competitors. The timing lines up with several demand drivers hitting at once: gas prices remain above $4 nationally, FSD is expanding across the US and Europe, the Spring Update is delivering meaningful software improvements to existing vehicles and Tesla just launched 0.99% APR financing on new Model 3 orders.
