DISC BREAK GUEST MIX - MADAM

It’s Saturday so that means we return to our weekly show on the excellent and it’s time for another guest mix.

Presenting .aif. One half of Berlin based who provided us with a belter of a mix for the RhythmCast series last year.

MADAM is a French DJ and producer who began her music journey in Rio de Janeiro in 2017, after moving there. She first gained recognition by winning local DJ contests and quickly became part of the city’s electronic music scene.

Her sets today blend spacey house, minimal, house, and breaks, always delivered with a lot of energy. She has performed in cities including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paris, Strasbourg, Barcelona, and Berlin.

In 2024, she released new music with marking an important step in her path as a producer.

AMDH is a project she shares with her brother . The duo is a mosaic of their shared history and individual artistic journeys.

RHYTHMCAST 221 - PUSHER

Life got in the way of posting this midweek but it’s definitely worth the wait. We have now uploaded outstanding mix for our series over on our SoundCloud channel for you to check out.

Ireland’s Pusher has been mainstay in our sets for some time and his label goes from strength to strength.

His mix selection for us is right up our street with the sound we love. Fresh upfront house music with plenty of classic cuts to keep you on the ride until the end.

DISC BREAK RADIO GUEST MIX - PUSHER

Delighted to have Ireland’s featuring on this weeks 📻 guest mix tonight from 10pm 😎

This mix takes you on a journey through classic deep grooves expertly crafted with modern cuts from some of our favourite artists past and present. 🏠 🎶

A bit more about our guest:

Pusher is a renowned Irish Artist, respected for his long tenure in the underground scene. He heads up the label, which provides a platform for the best in house, deep-house and techno.

Pusher’s Journey began at the age of 14 when he purchased his first set of turntables, spending hours each week in Dublin’s long forgotten record stores Abbey Discs, Purple Moon, and HMV. By the age of 18, Pusher started running events in Dublin city. He gained residency at the POD Complex, Academy, Pygmalion, Kennedy’s, and frequent visits to Cork and Galway.

In 2014, he inaugurated his production career and own Indicate label with the ‘Social Service’ EP and has since gone on to steadily evolve musically through a slow and steady stream of releases. Always sonically underpinning a raw house aesthetic at his core.

2015 Pusher began teaching DJ, Ableton and Logic on a weekly basis at Secret Sound. He then setup his own music school called in 2020, which is located on Camden Street. The school”s main focus is developing the next generation of music producers and DJ’s.

The L👀k Busy team are a diverse bunch incorporating electronica up to full on club bangers and nestled in there nicely is a fair share of Disco music too. So Grant has thrown 2hours of the best of his Disco collection together for you to enjoy 😎

Back once again with another guest mix tonight on from 10pm and we feature New York DJ & Producer

New York-based DJ Alone Again creates emotive, nostalgic house music, known for a signature blend of fat drums, thick basslines, and atmospheric pads. His October 2024 releases, “In My House We Dance” on our friend s and “Live and Let Live” on Dog With A Bone were well received on streaming platforms. “4 My Heart,” his most recent release on .music , is currently featured on Spotify’s official Deep House Grooves playlist. As a DJ, he takes listeners on a similar journey through his sets, blending his tracks with those that inspire him to create an immersive experience.

👀 Next Door Records (London) 👀

A huge thank you to the team for having us down to play some records on Saturday evening.

It was a great night from start to finish. The staff and customers made and feel very welcome for our first set at the venue. It was definitely worth the effort of getting our record bags down from Scotland for the night, and back home again.

We can't wait to get back down to do it all again soon.

RHYTHMCAST 219 - DJ LUOTO

Our latest guest mix from .luoto is now live over on the RhyhtmCast SoundCloud channel. Grab the 🔗 in the bio or story posts. You can also swipe for some clips of the mix.

DJ Luoto is a Finnish vinyl only dj who specialises in soulful music in almost every subgenre and era of house music.

This guest mix is mostly 2020’s house/deep house with soul, nice energy and groove and characteristics of different subgenres. You can expect soul warming pianos and synths with strong bass lines from disco inspired grooves to more deep house vibed lines. Added to this, some soulful vocals and shorter vocal samples, one of the key ingredients in his selection.
