“How do you enjoy ruining their day?”

I get asked this more than you’d think. 😂

When you work with children with autism, additional support needs and sensory difficulties, haircuts aren’t always easy. Sometimes there are tears, sometimes there’s frustration, sometimes they absolutely hate every second of it… and yes, sometimes I probably do look like I’ve ruined their day! 😂

But then there are moments like this. ❤️

After today’s haircut, this little guy showed me the most beautiful affection, and luckily I caught it on camera. 🥹

THIS is why I love what I do.

It’s not just about cutting hair. It’s about building trust, creating a safe space, understanding each child as an individual and forming a bond with them at their own pace.

And when a child who may have found the whole experience overwhelming chooses to give you affection afterwards… there honestly isn’t a better feeling.

So yes… maybe I “ruined his day” with a haircut. 😂✂️

But Moments like this remind me that I’m not just cutting hair. I’m building trust, creating connections and becoming someone they feel safe with. ❤️

Being a barber is rewarding, but being you guys barber is something really special 🥹

I have been TERRIBLE on here over the summer and I am soo sorry….i won’t lie and say my posting will get any better because to be honest trying to juggle running a business and solo parent is enough in itself….🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

So just wanted to pop on and say we’re finally at the home stretch….3 days and counting 🥳
Again thanks to everyone who has supported me through these 6 weeks and all my wonderful families, I love you all for having such patience ❤️

Going forward my working hours will go back to 3 days -
Tuesday 9.30-5.30 (last appointment 5 o’clock)
Wednesday 9.30-2.30 (last appointment 2 o’clock)
Friday 9.30-5.30 (last appointment 5 o’clock)

And 1 Saturday a month 😊

The evening slots will book fast so be mindful if you do require a late afternoon/evening slot.

Sorry to any new customers who have reached out and I haven’t managed to accommodate this time but now we’re heading back to “normal” I will be taking on new clients again.

I also wanted to say I am no longer travelling into Aberdeenshire, with such high demand I have unfortunately had to make this sacrifice. Not to say things might change in the future but for now I am only covering Aberdeen City. 😇

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to jump on and thank you all for your continued support and understanding over the summer holidays. ❤️
Your patience also hasn’t gone unnoticed 🥹 I had to make the decision to drop from 3/4 days to only 1 over the holidays leaving my appointments high in demand…
juggling my own childcare, trying to entertain my
6 year old, do admin and get round all my cuts has been a lot these past few weeks but we’re almost there and I can wait to get things back to normal 🤩

Please if there is messages I haven’t got round to replying to can you ping me another message and I will see what I can do!!

Again thank you to all my amazing clients and they’re families for being so understanding over these 6 weeks of chaos 🫶🏻🥰

Tpobs are the most effective solution to sensory cuts. They cut amazingly and the noise levels are so quiet 🤫

When I first met CJ he would not allow me anywhere near him or his hair. Even hand gestures, brushing/combing anything really!! His mum struggled for years to find the right fit for CJ after it being such a traumatic experience for everyone.

Fast forward and after we did an 8 guard all over we’re slowly working on a fade process. Since this cut I’ve been back twice to tidy the back and sides leaving the top to grow out again. 🥰

CJ’s confidence in me, getting his haircut and overcoming a lot of stress is a HUGE win!!

So proud of you and will see you again soon 🥰
