As we wrap up 2025, we want to share a genuine thank you.

To our clients, partners, and suppliers your trust, openness and ambition have made this year what it was. So proud of what this team deliver and what we’ve achieved together.

We’ve continued to grow. From hero films, corporate stories and recruitment campaigns to harbours, housing, energy projects and global updates. Sometimes with ROVs, sometimes with Japanese subtitles, and occasionally alongside tall ships ⛵ It’s been a year full of variety, challenges and momentum.

A few highlights from 2025:

We welcomed two brilliant new team members, Jack and Glen 🙌
�We hosted work experience placements with Roman, Joel and Georgia (along with several students from NESCOL), giving the next generation of filmmakers hands-on industry experience.
�2025 has been a year worth replaying and we’re excited for what 2026 holds.

We’re delighted to welcome Glen Ainslie to the Signal team, an accomplished filmmaker with more than eight years’ experience producing online content, TV commercials, and live broadcasts.

Glen brings technical expertise and creative storytelling, with a passion for crafting content that captures attention and connects with audiences. His arrival strengthens our in-house production capability as we continue to deliver imaginative, broadcast-quality films for clients across a wide range of sectors.

Glen joins at an exciting time of growth, alongside Jack Millington, our recently appointed 3D animator and designer. We can’t wait to see the creativity they’ll bring to upcoming projects.

A significant milestone for Signal ! 👍

We've firmly cemented our reputation as the key digital partner in the North-east of Scotland, having recently secured a series of new projects worth over £350,000. The company continues to go from strength to strength, welcoming a new team member as we expand to meet growing demand.

With a strong track record of delivering high impact digital solutions across branding and marketing, Signal’s latest wins from several major companies, reinforce our position as the go-to agency for innovation and excellence.

Our continued growth is a testament to the hard work of our talented team and the trust our clients place in us. Securing such significant new business is not only a major achievement, it also allows us to reinvest in our people and services to deliver even greater value.

As part of our expansion, we welcome talented filmmaker Richard Baron to the team. Richard brings over 15 years of knowledge and experience as a Director, Cameraman and Editor.

In the first five months of 2025, Signal crews have already been offshore five times, to locations including the Gulf of Mexico, Curaçao, North Sea and West of Shetland, as well as completing multiple shoots in the UK and US.

Signal has also been appointed as the official video partner for The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025. This event is expected to be Scotland’s largest event of the year, with approximately 50 Tall Ships from around the globe sailing in for the four-day event, centred at the Port of Aberdeen. Our content will be used across digital platforms, social media, and broadcast channels to showcase Aberdeen’s role as the only UK host port for the Tall Ships.

Richard brings over 15 years of experience as a filmmaker, photographer, and certified drone pilot, with a strong track record producing high-quality content. His expertise spans the entire production process from filming to editing for clients across multiple sectors.

He’s worked in many remote and challenging locations, including offshore installations for major energy companies.

“I’ve never had a gift for Christmas Day”

James became homeless when he was 16. He had never had a Christmas present.

While most of us were celebrating with family and friends, enjoying good food and exchanging gifts with our loved ones, James was sofa-surfing. Poverty and his mother’s ill-health left him with nowhere to go.

But Scottish charity Quarriers was able to support James with some essentials and treats, including some festive food and a warm blanket. This Christmas, James will celebrate in his own one-bedroom flat provided by the local authority.

Quarriers supports young people in Northeast Scotland who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Unfortunately, Christmas gifts aren’t considered a funding priority and Quarriers depends on the generosity of donations.

This year, the Signal team are proud to support them by providing toiletries packs, festive food hampers, Christmas parcels and home-sweet-home bundles. We hope we can inspire you to do the same.

Just £15 would provide someone like James with a Festive Food Hamper and let them know that they are worthy, that they matter and deserve things that most of us take for granted.
