A significant milestone for Signal ! 👍

We've firmly cemented our reputation as the key digital partner in the North-east of Scotland, having recently secured a series of new projects worth over £350,000. The company continues to go from strength to strength, welcoming a new team member as we expand to meet growing demand.

As part of our expansion, we welcome talented filmmaker Richard Baron to the team. Richard brings over 15 years of knowledge and experience as a Director, Cameraman and Editor.

In the first five months of 2025, Signal crews have already been offshore five times, to locations including the Gulf of Mexico, Curaçao, North Sea and West of Shetland, as well as completing multiple shoots in the UK and US.

Signal has also been appointed as the official video partner for The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025. This event is expected to be Scotland’s largest event of the year, with approximately 50 Tall Ships from around the globe sailing in for the four-day event, centred at the Port of Aberdeen. Our content will be used across digital platforms, social media, and broadcast channels to showcase Aberdeen’s role as the only UK host port for the Tall Ships.

Richard brings over 15 years of experience as a filmmaker, photographer, and certified drone pilot, with a strong track record producing high-quality content. His expertise spans the entire production process from filming to editing for clients across multiple sectors.

He’s worked in many remote and challenging locations, including offshore installations for major energy companies.

“I’ve never had a gift for Christmas Day”

James became homeless when he was 16. He had never had a Christmas present.

While most of us were celebrating with family and friends, enjoying good food and exchanging gifts with our loved ones, James was sofa-surfing. Poverty and his mother’s ill-health left him with nowhere to go.

But Scottish charity Quarriers was able to support James with some essentials and treats, including some festive food and a warm blanket. This Christmas, James will celebrate in his own one-bedroom flat provided by the local authority.

Quarriers supports young people in Northeast Scotland who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Unfortunately, Christmas gifts aren’t considered a funding priority and Quarriers depends on the generosity of donations.

This year, the Signal team are proud to support them by providing toiletries packs, festive food hampers, Christmas parcels and home-sweet-home bundles. We hope we can inspire you to do the same.

Just £15 would provide someone like James with a Festive Food Hamper and let them know that they are worthy, that they matter and deserve things that most of us take for granted.

We're excited to announce the newest addition to our team, Georgina Fitzpatrick, joining us as Production Co-Ordinator.

With over 10 years of experience in broadcast TV and radio, Georgina is set to elevate our standards and ensure seamless project ex*****on. Hailing from Manchester, holding a BSc (Hons) in Professional Broadcast Techniques, she has contributed to renowned shows like You’ve Been Framed!, Dragons’ Den, Match of the Day, Steph’s Packed Lunch, and BBC Radio 5 Live football team.

Recently relocating to Aberdeenshire with her family, Georgina has worked on impressive projects such as Grand Tours of Scotland’s Rivers, The Great Auction Showdown, and Landward. Welcome aboard, Georgina!

Signal is proud to share the mini-documentary, 'Building the Future', produced for Port of Aberdeen. It marks the completion of the £420 million expansion, the largest marine infrastructure project in Trust Port history. The Signal team had the privilege of working alongside the port in all weathers, over the past five years, to capture the story, the challenges, and many milestones.

The result is an engaging, emotional, and insightful film that reflects the hard work and dedication of the teams involved 👏

The team at Signal is proud to share our latest project with Noble Corporation - a promotional film showcasing Noble's Operational Risk Management Support (NORMS) program. NORMS is a critical operations planning and learning center located in Houston, enabling collaboration across their fleet to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Our expert film crew spent two weeks in the US, including a trip offshore Gulf of Mexico and in Houston, capturing all the great work being done by Noble's team. With editing, music, 3D motion graphics, and a bespoke script and VoiceOver, we're proud to have brought the project to life.
