WILD FIRES: 🔥🔥🔥 When we set out to make our documentary, The Bough Breaks, about anthropogenic climate chaos and the part rewilding can play in its mitigation, climate models were predicting that the worst affects would be decades into our future. They were wrong. We are seeing them today, as we watch wildfires taking hold globally with unprecedented frequency. Scotland's own beautiful Cairngorms National Park is ablaze, at Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, another fire burns, so close to Scottish Parliament, it will hard for those inside to ignore it. Thank you Ayr Film Society and South Ayrshire Ranger Service for screening The Bough Breaks and On the Red List as party of Earth Hour! We are all delighted the double bill was so well received.👍💚🩵🌎

Yesterday evening, our audience gave the films, which we screened in partnership with South Ayrshire Ranger Service in support of Earth Hour, an overall rating of 95% to "The Bough Breaks" and for the short film " On the Red List" a rating of 91%.

Many thanks again to Danny Strong Mousehole Films, Mathilde von Ooijen, Andrea Costa (On The Red List, director and cinematographer) and Joanne McEwan South Ayrshire Ranger Servicefor participating in the Q&A and handling the varied questions about the films which were thought provoking on vital and important issues.

To mark Earth Hour 🌍, Danny will be hosting a double bill screening of 'The Bough Breaks' along with the creators of RTS winning short film 'On the Red List' at 7.15pm, at Ayr Town Hall this evening in partnership with South Ayrshire Ranger Service and Ayr Film Society.

The films will be followed by a Q&A with the directors of On the Red List, Mathilde van Ooijen (Filmmaker), and Andrea Costa (Cinematographer), Joanne McEwan (Climate Change & Biodiversity officer of South Ayrshire Council Ranger Service) and Danny Strong Ecologist & Filmmaker (camera/director Mousehole Films). 🎥

Thanks to South Ayrshire Ranger service this will be free entry to all!! 👍🎞️🩵💚🌎
