Nothing out of the ordinary - films at the many cinemas in Aberdeen; a dinner dance at the Goucester Hotel; The Beatles at The Beach Ballroom...
😲Yes! Not a tribute, but the *actual* Beatles in their only appearance that they made in the Granite City, on January 6th.
And they weren't even top of the bill!

The Beatles played live in Fife, on October 6, 1963, performing two shows at the Carlton Theatre in Kirkcaldy; and appeared twice in Dundee; first on October 7th 1963, and again on October 20th 1964 - both at The Caird Hall.

In October 1985, this 70s teen-heart-throb was on tour with two Scottish dates:
Edinburgh Playhouse on October 10th;
Aberdeen Capitol Theatre on October 11th.

1985 was a revival year for David, with a comeback hit called "The Last Kiss"

Despite a few minutes yesterday when it sounded like we'd flipped the format to industrial techno (see post below), Original 106 GOLD has had its first set of listening figures - and we are blown away with the result!
