I know some people haven’t been able to bring themselves to watch this documentary because it feels too emotional, and I truly understand that. “Emotional” often gets reduced to meaning sadness, but emotion is so much bigger than that. Emotion can be hope. It can be challenging, inspiring, thoughtful, exciting. It can be fun. There is laughter too. Yes, there are moments that are hard, but above the sadness lives all of those other feelings, and they matter just as much. This film isn’t here to weigh you down, it’s here to open hearts, spark conversation, and remind us of our shared humanity. It really is worth watching. And if you truly can’t watch it, please share it. Awareness is such a huge part of this film, and sometimes simply helping the story reach someone else is just as powerful.
