So, after producing records for a few different artists, Lynn added the record label in 2004; followed by the conversion of a bakery into a project studio for her signed artists. Bakehouse Studio was later opened as a recording facility for local independent musicians. More help was required by all unknown or independent artists who were either overlooked, or exploited by standard industry contracts. With this in mind, Lynn decided to create a selection of contracts designed specifically to help any level of artist to make a living from their art. The contracts have been changed over the years but will now be returning to the core aim of the business; to help new and independent artists to structure and grow their music careers. > WobblyMusic.net Is the company's main info site. There, you can browse all the main signed artist's EPKs and Merch stores; the full catalogue of releases; and all the latest news.
> GiveMeARecordDeal.com - Signs new artists. A new deal is currently being constructed for release shortly. Artists will able to apply directly to the label and sign the contract online at their own convenience.
> BakehouseStudio.net - Records the music. As an independent studio, Lynn is also available to record, produce, mix and master any independent artist, either at the studio or as a remote service online.
> WobblyPromotions.com - Handles all the automation and software that runs the artist's websites and mailing lists. It also provides Web Design and Marketing for other small businesses.

I've just started doing the annual accounts. If anyone else has been wondering what impact Spotify's new policy of "robbing the poor to give to the rich" has had on independent artists, here are the actual results after their first year with the new policy.

As a percentage of total earnings...
Spotify contributed 63.3% in 2023 (Before the change) and only 36.4% in 2024.

As a result of this and a few other platforms adopting the same business model; my artists earnings are down by around 50%.

Surely this can only be a bad thing for the music industry as a whole? It will eventually lead to fewer innovative artists trying the make a mark on the scene as more of their recordings fail to break even on the cost of production and marketing.

This is another change of genre for Bob. This time with a Country flavour!

Well Monday night saw us with Blacksheeplad in Manchester at the premiere of a film called "Love Bite" written and directed by Christopher S. Breen. A film inspired by, and featuring BlackSheepLad's song "Zombie Romance".

After the film, BlackSheepLad was on stage performing a few songs to an enthusiastic audience, finishing of course with this one...
