A while back we spent time recording some truly extraordinary sounds from replicas of prehistoric and medieval musical instruments.
Bronze horns, stone flutes, bone whistles… primal sounds that have accompanied rituals and gatherings for hundreds of years.
That work became the Ancient Music Ireland Vol.1 Sound Library, and PALEOSONIC, a companion Kontakt instrument.
It still feels like a special collaboration to me so I wrote a few words about the process.
