💠LouD Social Media was born back in 2018 as I soon discovered the need to help people in going back to basics with their social media and getting that right. I also found lots of businesses were feeling left behind in the digital world and the support that I could offer would be invaluable to them.

🔹 I specialise in the basics, helping start-ups, creating new pages or people that may be used to F

acebook and in need of getting onto Instagram too (most businesses are recommended to be on both platforms).

🔹 1:1 training, which can be held face to face, or via zoom

🔹 Training sessions will be tailored specifically to you and your business. Together we will check that you have all the basics working for you and then work through getting your skills up to the next level

🔹 I also offer sessions to create a structure or a marking plan. We can all feel a little stuck and overwhelmed with what to do next for our business, so these sessions allow you to gain focus again and with a plan on how to move forward.

Yes I’ve been quiet but yes I’ve been so busy!!

I’m lucky to have my clients that I’ve been working with for several years, and they just keep on growing and evolving 🙌🏼 which is absolutely fantastic and how social media should be.

Everything is doing what it should do, I love the fact that I’ve had the time to grow with them, learning their products inside out and knowing what to push and when, to always keep things fresh.. the key to longstanding social media.

🙌🏼 Last week was also a busy one with a trip into Manchester to to meet up with an old friend of mine Jo, the founder of whilst she was in town with promoting his new single - it’s been a very long time since we last saw each other so lots of our travel escapades together to reminisce about!

Today I spent the morning with one of my clients as it was their 20th birthday today!!!

🥳 What a fantastic milestone for them 🙌🏼 congratulations!!

Yup!

There are lots of banned hashtags and lots of reasons why, but its there to protect us so I support this 100%

🚫 Why are they banned?

Mainly to do with the public search results due to associations with spam, inappropriate content or violations of Instagram's community guidelines.
They could be flagged as irrelevant, misleading, spammers, low-quality content, over commercialising, etc., and 'they' are trying to prevent anything that could be deemed as potentially harmful and negative.

🤔What will happen if I do use them?

1. Shadowbanning: This is the big one. If you use a banned hashtag, Instagram’s algorithm may hide your posts from everyone except your current followers. This means your content won’t show up in search results or hashtag feeds, drastically reducing your visibility.

2. Reduced Reach: Posts with banned hashtags get less engagement—fewer likes, comments, and shares. Instagram’s algorithm penalizes posts that include banned tags, making them almost invisible.

3. Account Penalties: Repeated use of banned hashtags can lead to more significant penalties. In extreme cases, Instagram may temporarily suspend or even permanently ban your account if it’s deemed a repeat offender.

Avoiding banned hashtags is key to maintaining your Instagram presence and avoiding these penalties.

Banned hashtags will of course change along with the trends, but if you are unsure you can find lots of info by just googling 'banned hashtags'

👉🏻 A more subtle change this time to your profile (which doesn’t have you loosing sleep over the size of your content)

This is a nice change for where your heading sits.
It was previously located under your image/logo circle, but now sits along side it - according to Instagram it was for a ‘cleaner look’.
