We're excited to welcome Donald Pirie to the team as one of our gaming voice directors. We're building something extra special when it comes to gaming demos!

Donald Pirie is a seasoned voice director, casting director, and voice actor with a dynamic career spanning across AAA video games, high-profile animations, dubs, and audio productions. A graduate of the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Donald brings a classically trained foundation to his work in both performance and direction.

Donald has become a trusted name in the global voice industry, known for his precision in casting, nuanced direction, and deep understanding of performance and an actors needs. His voice work encompasses an impressive range of critically acclaimed and commercially successful AAA video game titles, as well as animation series and international dubs for leading studios and platforms.

His credits include collaborations with Audible, Netflix, BBC, and many other prominent content producers. Donald has also run sold out Voice Over courses for over 10 years both in person and online.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with the brilliant Aubrey Parsons on his award-winning gaming demo. We're excited to share his thoughts on the experience. (Video below!)

From the first chat to the final mix, this was a truly collaborative project. Aubrey brought incredible energy, versatility, and humour to every stage of the process. It was clear from day one that he cared deeply about crafting something special — and wow, did he deliver.

Huge thanks as always to our scriptwriter Frances Wakefield-Harrey for her creative magic behind the scenes. Frankie took time to dig into character ideas with Aubrey before shaping scripts that played perfectly to his strengths — vivid, bold, and bursting with performance potential.

We’re so proud of what we created together — and even prouder to see it go on to win at this year’s One Voice Awards.

It's with great pride that we announce a win at this year's One Voice Awards in the Male Demo Production (Gaming) category! (Sound on)

A huge congratulations to the incredibly talented Aubrey Parsons for his outstanding performance in this demo — he brought each character to life with power, depth, and personality. And a massive shoutout to our brilliant scriptwriter, Frances Wakefield-Harrey, whose creativity and dedication were instrumental in shaping this winning piece.

Before any scripts were written, Frankie took the time to sit down with Aubrey to dive deep into character concepts. Together, they explored tone, style, and backstories. From there, Frankie crafted detailed character bios, immersive scenes, and dynamic scripts — all tailored specifically to Aubrey’s strengths and imagination.

This level of personalisation is what makes our demos stand out. We never use off-the-shelf copy. We get to know the artist, explore their range, and build something that is not only bespoke but packed with performance potential. It's a process rooted in collaboration, passion, and trust.

It was genuinely such a pleasure working with Aubrey from start to finish. His dedication, humour, and professionalism made the process a joy.

Aubrey actually won the demo as a prize at last year's karaoke competition — so it feels incredibly special to come full circle, from one win to another.

Collaborating with industry professionals to help bring your voice demos to life is one of things I love about this work! Taking the amazing scripts our writers create for each voice demo and working with the artist alongside other directors and writers helps bring so much creativity to the process.

Here's a sample of a gaming demo recording session with John Eastman alongside Donald Pirie on direction duties. We start off with the amazing ideas created by Frances Wakefield-Harrey and slowly mould and throw ideas into the pot to help bring each character / script to life.

It was a pleasure working with Donald and John in this session and look forward to sharing the finished product :)

Sound ON! From kids toys to playing a McVitie's biscuit! Laura Brydon covered it all with this demo. Bringing the amazing scripts to life, written by our very own Rachel Kershaw.

We had an amazing day in the studio with our Donny Lass Laura! a true commercial session with lots of laughs! and pushing the boundaries with all of her performances.
