From grammar school to global HQ 🎓✏️

Built in 1906 to serve local learners, Kelsick Grammar welcomed students until the mid-60s, then spent decades as part of Charlotte Mason College before falling into disrepair.

In 2017, David Williams - now CEO of Impact International - saw the potential and stepped in, saving the building from demolition and restoring it with care.

Think sheep-wool insulation, solar panels, greywater systems and a sedum roof - heritage with a lighter footprint.

Today, the old school is Impact’s global headquarters and a welcoming hub for coworking, meetings and community events. If you’re planning a training day, strategy session or just need a focused desk for the day, come work where the past fuels the future.

Kelsick Grammar and St Mary's Hospice are joining forces to bring a helpful and informative session to the local community.

The "Hospice Heads Up" session will help to take away fear of the unknown, dispel misconceptions around hospices and the care they provide and aims to open up the conversation and demystify hospice care.

If you've been to one of our Assembly evenings you'll have heard from Impact's Founder and CEO, David Williams as he introduces the events and gives an overview of Kelsick Grammars history. It's a fascinating story and the building has been designed to be a collaborative space - to promote creativity, innovation and productivity. Which brings us nicely onto our next Assembly!

On Thursday 28th November, Alex Staniforth, record-breaking adventurer, ultra-endurance athlete, author and charity founder will be talking about his biggest challenges. The evening kicks off with a delicious supper in Force Cafe.

The Kelsick Assemblies are in full swing again!

On Thursday 10th October we'll hear from Kate Rawles, Adventure in the Andes with Kate Rawles, writer, environmentalist and adventurer. Kate will share with us how and why she cycled the length of South America on a bamboo bike she built herself. Join us to hear about the amazing activists she met; the highs and lows of the journey; and what we can all do. And meet the bike!
