Is it a confidence issue you have or is it actually a self respect problem in disguise? If you got this far you’re probably thinking what the f**k but keep reading, I guarantee you’ll be intrigued ⬇️

✨Confidence is how you feel about yourself.
❤️Self respect is how you treat yourself.

✨Confidence is the voice that says ‘I can do this’
❤️Self-respect is the boundary that says ‘I won’t let anyone treat me like I can’t’

✨Confidence is wearing the outfit.
❤️Self respect is leaving the room when someone makes you feel small in it.

✨Confidence is posting the photo.
❤️Self respect is not deleting it because someone disapproved.

✨Confidence is believing you are worthy.
❤️Self respect is not settling for the things that contradict your worth whether it’s the relationship, the job, the friendship or the apology that never comes.

You can look confident while quietly abandoning yourself. You can speak well, work hard, look like you’ve got it altogether, smile and still tolerate things that break you down.

Confidence shows on the outside.
Self-respect shows in your decisions 👇

Self respect is the part of you that says:
❤️ ‘I love myself too much to keep letting this s**t bring me down’
❤️ ‘I’ve outgrown this version of me’
❤️ ‘This doesn’t feel good so I’m choosing differently’
❤️ ‘I won’t explain my worth to anyone ever again’

When a woman builds confidence, she becomes noticeable.
When she builds self respect, she becomes unshakeable.

And that’s the shift that will change your whole life.
It’s not about becoming louder, it’s about becoming loyal to yourself.

Do you ever catch yourself saying things like ⬇️
✨ ‘This is too good to be true’
✨ ‘I don’t want to get my hopes up’
✨ ‘I don’t deserve it’

When we struggle with our mental health especially over long periods of time, disappointment, chaos & self doubt become our ‘norm’ so when something or someone good comes along our nervous system freezes and our minds whisper ‘be careful, good things don’t last’

And so, the hesitation & overthinking begins. It’s easy to build the walls up to protect ourselves from being hurt. It’s not that we don’t want the good things… we do! ❤️
Peace, love, stability, opportunities & joy but safe is the easiest road. Our brains have spent so long treating good things like threats rather than blessings ❤️

But here’s the truth that many of us never get told 👇
✨Struggling doesn’t make us undeserving.
✨The past doesn’t make us unworthy.
✨Hard seasons don’t disqualify us from good ones.

The part of us that doubts our worth is the exact same part that can heal you & unlearn you even if it’s feels uncomfortable, confusing & possibly even painful. We can slowly teach our mind & bodies that safety can exist outside of struggle ❤️

Just stay open to the possibility.
We are all worthy

STRESS vs BURNOUT vs DEPRESSION 👇
Have you been feeling ‘off’ lately?
Be honest, a lot of us tend to jump in to the worst case scenario don’t we?! ❤️
It’s ok. Most of us can’t tell whether we’re experiencing stress, burnout or depression. They just seem to blend and blur together.

However, understanding the difference can give you clarity and awareness knowing where to get the right support that will help you feeling like YOU again 🥰

I wish someone had done this for me when I needed it.

1. STRESS

Stress is a reaction. It’s usually to something specific ➡️ work deadlines, parenting pressure, money worries, relationship tension or just life being a lot.

What stress feels like:
✨Your mind is racing
✨You’re overthinking but still functioning
✨Emotions feel high whether that’s frustration, worry or irritability
✨You still care, you still try and still push through
✨You can see what’s causing it (but it can’t be fixed instantly)

Physical stress shows up as:
✨Tight chest or shoulders
✨Headaches
✨Restless sleep
✨Quick heartbeat.
✨Feeling wired even when you’re tired.

2. BURNOUT

Your mind & body has felt overwhelmed for too long so it starts to shut down.

Burnout is what happens when stress becomes your normal.
There’s no break and no recovery time.
It’s all go until you quietly tap out. You’re still there but the days just pass you by.

Burnout often comes from:
✨Emotional labour
✨Caregiving
✨High responsibility roles
✨Staying strong for everyone else
✨Ignoring your own needs for too long
✨Perfectionism or people pleasing
✨Jobs or environments you’ve outgrown

What burnout feels like:
✨Emotional flatness
✨Feeling numb or detached
✨You don’t feel motivated by things you used to care about
✨ Even the smallest of tasks feels heavy
✨You wake up tired
✨You feel empty, not emotional

3. DEPRESSION

A mental and emotional state that affects your mood, thinking, your energy and outlook on life. Not just your stress levels.

Depression can grow out of long term stress or burnout, but it can also appear without any logical trigger. It’s not weakness, failure or a lack of effort.
It’s a real & valid mental health condition and it often feels different from what people imagine.

What depression feels like:
✨Persistent sadness or heaviness. ✨Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
✨Feeling hopeless or disconnected from your future
✨Difficulty focusing
✨Disrupted sleep or appetite
✨It feels like you’re watching your life from the outside
✨Daily tasks feel impossible
✨Negative thoughts that feel automatic and constant the second you wake up

Depression affects everything even the parts of your life that aren’t even stressful. It can last for weeks, even months if you don’t get the support ❤️

We talk about ‘mental health’ like it’s a label.

It’s not just anxiety, depression or a diagnosis. Mental health is the relationship we have with ourselves 👇

✨It’s the way we speak to ourselves when we’re having a s**te day.
✨It’s the stories we tell ourselves when life is throwing us hurdles.
✨It’s the nights we’re overwhelmed but still show up for our kids.
✨It’s the mornings we push through even when we’re exhausted inside.
✨It’s the quiet battles no one sees but we feel in our bones.
✨It’s the way we choose to love, lose, grow and rebuild everyday.
✨ It’s the courage to choose healing over hiding.

We don’t need to be strong all the time, we need to rest instead of break and we need to learn to forgive ourselves for being human.

Caring for our minds is one of the most powerful things we can do for ourselves. Let that sink in ❤️

Mental health should not have a box. Yes, I’m a mam, I get it. The pressures, the mental load, the responsibilities & the quiet moments where you have to hold everything together even when you’re falling apart inside.

But if I’m being completely honest with myself and you that’s not the whole picture of what I’m here to do. I also struggled with my mental health before having the kids so I don’t want to put a limit on the message I’m meant to share ❤️

My purpose has always been bigger than one category of people. I want to help anyone, mum or not 🥰

To anyone who feels overwhelmed by life, stuck in their own head & who can feel their potential but keeps bumping up against the walls their mind has built….this is for you 👇

Because here’s what I’ve learned……..
Most of the barriers that stop us from living, feeling, expressing or becoming who we want to be are the ones we’ve built ourselves.

I’m not saying that with blame. It comes from a place of love, compassion and the understanding of someone who’s done it too.

We all carry stories, fears, doubts, and the ‘what ifs’ that shape the way we show up.
But we also all carry the energy to break through them & to choose differently ❤️

So no, I’m not boxing myself into just one role or one audience.
My heart wants to reach the people who feel stuck, lost & the one’s who feel like there’s more inside them but don’t know where to start.

So mum, dad, student, worker or dreamer, anyone…I’m here.
Not to fix you. But to help you see what was always there
Your strength.
Your clarity.
Your freedom.
Your light.

Life is too short to keep living behind the barriers we didn’t even realise we built.
