Good morning you gorgeous lot šŸŒž

I watched the sunrise, went for an early morning walk through the forest and spent some time breathing with my favourite tree.

Now I’m sitting in my garden, listening to the wind moving through the trees and the exquisite sound of the birds singing to each other.

Everything feels a little slower this morning. A little softer, gentler.

I’m smiling as I sip my delicious Mama Cacao, which truly feels like a hug in a mug šŸ¤Ž

No agenda, nothing to achieve. Just being here, taking it all in and feeling grateful for this beautiful life šŸ™

Sunday morning done right!

Whatever you’re up to on this glorious morning, I hope it nourishes your soul.

Much love, Karen 🫶

My heart is full to bursting after Thursday evening’s New Moon Cacao Ceremony.

I am filled with gratitude to the returning women, and to the beautiful new faces who joined us for the first time. Thank you šŸ™

Thank you for bringing your open hearts, for tending to yourselves and to one another, and for the exquisite energy you co-created in our circle.

I’m honoured beyond words to hold these spaces and never take it for granted because they’re not mine alone. They’re magically created by every woman who chooses to show up, to be present, to listen inward and to share this space with others.

As always, Mama Cacao was the most beautiful ally, supporting us to land in our bodies, open our hearts, deeply nourishing the circle and supporting us to tend what matters.

As the wheel turns, so do we. As the season slowly shifts from South to West, we’re invited to turn a little more inward too.

To pause, to listen, to notice what truly matters, and then to tend it with our energy, our attention and our presence.

May we honour this turning, may we tend what matters and may we nourish what we want to grow.

Deep bow to each woman who sat in circle with me. I may hold the space but without you, beautyfull souls, there is no circle.

With so much love and gratitude, Karen 🫶

P.s how gorgeous are these lily’s? I’m totally obsessed!

13/09/2026

Good morning from my garden lovely ones 🫶

I’m sitting with my bowls of tea. A wee lily from Thursday evening’s cacao ceremony graces my tea table and the gentle smoke of Palo Santo dances through the air.

There’s a very gentle breeze and birdsong all around me, with birds flitting between the trees and three lots of geese flying overhead.

The lily and the trees reflected in my tea mesmerise me and I have a quiet, deepening sense that the wheel is turning.

We’re still held in the warmth and fullness of the South, but there’s a whisper of the West in the air now.

The first hints of autumn. The cooler breeze, the changing light and the feeling that something is beginning to turn inward.

Not quite there yet but on the threshold and I can feel it within me too.

So this morning, I’m simply sitting, watching, listening and sipping my tea.

I’m being here, fully present and taking it all in.

I’m grateful for such a beautiful way to begin the day.

May you too find little moments today to pause, to notice what’s changing around, and within, you.

Much love, Karen 🫶

A wee Friday afternoon pause.

I’m sitting on my doorstep, in this gorgeous weather, with a cup of Mama Cacao in hand, gifting myself some time out.

I’ve been doing some Silent Counselling case study assessments and am about to get my teeth into some juicy preparation for a retreat I’m facilitating at the end of the month.

I just needed a moment to breathe, receive and be here.

Last night’s Cacao Ceremony was something very special, but I’m not quite ready to put that into words yet.

Sometimes you don’t need to, or can’t possibly, capture an experience straight away.

You just need to let it fully percolate and land.

So for now, I’m sipping, breathing and soaking up this beautiful Scottish sunshine.

And maybe, before you launch into your weekend, you could gift yourself a little pause too.

Even five minutes with cup of something you love.
A breath. A moment in the sunshine.

Tending to simply being here with no agenda and nothing to achieve.

Just a little sacred pause.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, whatever yours holds.

Much love, Karen šŸ¤Ž

Tend what matters.

That’s the invitation we are exploring tomorrow evening, as we gather in circle and sisterhood to slow down, listen inward and reconnect with what matters to you in this moment — in your life, your relationships, your work and the way you care for yourself.

And, in this season of your life, what deserves your energy, your attention and your tending?

Someone else’s behaviour doesn’t get to decide who I become.

I was reflecting on this yesterday when I had to pop into the bank as I’d noticed a transaction on my account that I didn’t recognise.

It had appeared around the same time as two genuine transactions I’d made at the airport on the day I travelled to France.

After speaking to the bank, it looks as though one of those transactions may’ve been compromised.

Honestly, my first thought was WTAF! WHY?

Why do people do this?
Why take something that doesn’t belong to you?
Why create worry, inconvenience and upset for someone else?

I’ll never know the answer and I realised that I don’t need to as there’ll always be things other people do that we simply can’t understand.

People will make choices that don’t align with our values and people will sometimes behave in ways that are dishonest, unkind or disappointing.

We don’t get to control any of that, but what
we do get to choose is what we do next.

So, I’m sorting it out, taking the necessary precautions and being sensible.

Then, I’m letting it go, because I don’t want someone else’s behaviour taking up more space in my mind or my body than it needs to.

It’s a good reminder that being open-hearted doesn’t mean being careless.

We can be trusting and discerning, kind and boundaried, open and aware.

Perhaps most importantly, we don’t have to become less trusting, less generous or less open because someone else chose not to be.

Their choices belong to them and mine belong to me.

I refuse to let someone else’s choices change the way I choose to show up in the world, because someone else’s behaviour doesn’t get to decide who I become.

Wee rant over!

Much love, Karen 🫶

There’s something so lovely about coming home after being away.

As much as I love travelling, exploring somewhere different, seeing friends and filling days with new experiences, there’s that moment when I step back through my own door and I have that full body ā€˜I’m home’ feeling.

There’s something so special about coming back to the land you love.

The familiar views and paths.
The changing colours of the fields.
The sea air.
The quiet.

Coming home gives you a chance to catch up with yourself, to let all the experiences of your time away settle.

When I unpack my suitcase, I simultaneously feel like I’m unpacking myself too as I come back into my own rhythm, my own space and my own energy.

It struck me that perhaps this is true of our inner journeys too.

Sometimes we need to step away from the familiar and explore what we’ve been carrying.

To unpack some of the things we’ve accumulated along the way, to notice what belongs to us, and what maybe never did.

To let things settle, and, in doing so, we can find our way home to ourselves again.

Not a new version of ourselves, not someone we need to become, just more deeply at home in who we already are.

There’s something deeply nourishing about returning to the place that holds you.

I love the land I live on, I love Scotland and every time I go away, I seem to come home with an even deeper appreciation for it.

Perhaps, sometimes, we need to leave what is familiar to truly see how much we love it when we return.

Today I’m grounding, catching up, settling back in and looking forward to being in service to beautiful clients.

And feeling very grateful to be home šŸ™

What if you could hold your intention in your hands?

For our September New Moon Cacao Ceremony, I’m inviting you to bring a small natural object from home or somewhere meaningful to you.

Something from your garden or found on a walk.

A stone, seed, shell, leaf or piece of wood.

Nothing needs to be bought. Just something that feels significant to you.

You’ll place it on our altar when you arrive, and throughout the evening it will become a symbol of what you choose to tend, honour and carry forward.

As we gather in circle and sisterhood, you’ll be invited to slow down, listen inward, release what is complete and connect with what you’re ready to nourish.

And at the end of the evening, you’ll take your object home with you.

A small, tangible reminder of the intention you set.

Of what matters.

Of what you’re choosing to give your energy to.

And perhaps, over the coming weeks, every time you see it, you’ll remember:
What I tend, grows.

What you tend, grows.

This sounds simple but imagine applying that to your own life.

Instead of asking:What do I need to achieve?

You could ask:
What do I want to nourish?
What deserves my attention?
What brings me alive?
What relationship do I want to nurture?
What part of me has been asking to be seen?
What dream has been quietly waiting for me?

What would happen if, instead of scattering your energy everywhere, you chose a few things that genuinely matter and tended them with care?

Not perfectly or relentlessly but consistently.

A little attention, nourishment and love.

Again and again.

Seeds don’t need you to shout at them to grow. They need the right conditions.

And you do too.

This September New Moon, I’m inviting you to come and spend an evening slowing down enough to listen to what those conditions might be for you.

Good morning from France šŸ‡«šŸ‡·ā˜€ļø

I’m here visiting two beautiful people who, three years ago, were complete strangers.

We met by chance while out enjoying a gorgeous walk from Arbroath to Auchmithie near where I live in Scotland

At the end of the walk, my friend and I got chatting to this lovely French couple. They’d planned to have lunch at a local restaurant, but that didn’t work out, so we rummaged in our bags and shared what we had left of our lunch with them.

We offered to drive them back to Arbroath, where their car was parked.

Except, when we got to our car, my friend realised she’d left her car keys in my car at the other end of the walk šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

So instead of a quick lift back to their car, we ended up spending the next hour and a half together, waiting for the bus and singing all the French songs we’d learned at school all those years ago!

By the time we eventually got back to our cars - which happened to be parked next to each others- we’d been invited to visit them in France.

So here I am sipping my coffee on their balcony. We visited them last year and now we’re back again.

Somehow, two strangers have become friends who feel more like family.

It got me thinking about all those little moments when something happens that feels like a complete pain in the butt.

The missed connection.
The delay.
The wrong turn.
The thing that doesn’t go according to plan.

Sometimes it’s not going wrong at all.

Sometimes, there’s something else unfolding that we simply can’t see yet.

Our forgotten car key didn’t cause a problem. It simply created the space for a connection neither of us could’ve planned.

So today, when something doesn’t go your way, pause before you decide it’s a problem.

There might just be a bigger story unfolding.

Because sometimes the detour is where the magic happens.

Much love, Karen 🫶
