Destruction yet again! St Malachy's Primary School plead with public to leave new site alone‼️

Last week, in yet another devastating blow, vandals have caused more wanton destruction to the former St Brigid's site which is set to become the temporary home of St Malachy's pupils in September. 😥

This is now the fourth space of vandalism since work began on the St Brigid's property and incoming Principal Mrs Kearney, has pleaded again for the public to stay away from the site and report and suspicious behaviour to the police.

CCTV from the property has been handed over to police who are working to find the vandals responsible.

Ms Kearney has asked for the public to assist by doing the following:

▪️Stay alert: If you live near the school or pass by regularly, keep an eye out for suspicious activity, especially during evenings and weekends.
▪️Report Incidents: If you witness vandalism or see anything unusual, report it immediately to local authorities.
▪️Talk to Young People: Encourage conversations with children and teens about respecting public spaces and the consequences of vandalism.

Penning his memories of Bonfire Night circa 1934, Paterson explains that as a boy - some half a century prior - he and many children from the area would have travelled to the "hills" of Armagh to watch bonfires "blazing from dusk to midnight" across the county. https://tinyurl.com/2jr7wh7m
