To the younger me⦠š¤
I wish you could see yourself through my eyes.
I know you spent years picking yourself apart in the mirror, comparing yourself to everyone else and believing youād only be worthy of love once you changed who you were.
But if I could sit beside you now, Iād tell you this:
You were never the problem.
You didnāt need a different body.
You didnāt need to be prettier, thinner, or more like somebody else.
You just needed to learn that your worth was never something you had to earn.
Life is going to challenge you in ways you never expected. Youāll lose yourself at times, but youāll slowly find your way back.
Youāll become a mum to the most incredible little boy, and through loving him unconditionally, youāll start to wonder why you never gave yourself that same love.
One day, youāll look in the mirror and, instead of searching for flaws, youāll see someone who has survived. Someone who has grown. Someone who has kept going, even when life felt impossibly heavy.
Youāll realise healing isnāt about becoming someone new, itās about finally accepting the person youāve been all along.
You wonāt love yourself every single day, and thatās okay. But the voice that once told you youād never be enough wonāt have the final say anymore.
So thank you to the younger version of me who kept going, even when she didnāt believe she was worth fighting for.
Iām proud of you.
And for the first time in my lifeā¦
Iām proud of me too. š¤
