A Celebration of Shaun Lever – Bowlers Manchester
Shaun Lever was not only one of Manchester’s most talented DJs and producers, he was also one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. He always had time for everyone and was a true friend and mentor to so many. A musical genius with an infectious sense of humour, Shaun was taken from us far too soon.
After witnessing the incredible outpouring of love for Shaun, and after speaking with his mum and those closest to him, we’ve decided to do what we know Shaun would have wanted, a dedicated celebration of his life in the venue he loved and worked at for so many years.
Bowlers Manchester will be our church for the day, bringing together family, friends and ravers to celebrate Shaun’s life with an unforgettable journey through music, featuring multi-genre DJ sets. The greatest rave venue in the world is the only place that could host the “Boy Raver” Celebration.
More than 50 DJs have already asked to be involved, and this is going to be one incredible celebration.

An enormous amount of planning, time and dedication will go into making every set something special, a musical journey through time and a fitting tribute to a true Manchester legend.
Putting this event together has also given Shaun’s mum something positive to focus on during the hardest time imaginable. Reading the heartfelt tributes from everyone whose lives Shaun touched has brought her comfort, and seeing the love and support surrounding this event will undoubtedly help her through her grief.
All funds raised from the event will be donated to Shaun’s mum. In true Shaun fashion, she has asked that the proceeds are then donated to charities supporting people experiencing homelessness, a cause that Shaun regularly supported himself.
