Remembering Margaret Wrigley

On 21st January 2025, Atherstone lost a beloved member of our community.

Margaret Wrigley was a true character, known and cherished by many. We were fortunate to capture a glimpse of her life in one of our final filming sessions for Living Atherstone.

With the blessing of Margaret’s family, we are honoured to share this with you. Take a moment to look back with Margaret as she reminisces about life in Atherstone—her stories, her humour, and her unforgettable spirit.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Since launching LIVING ATHERSTONE we have had over 68,000 views over 8 stories. Amazingly over 21,000 of these views are from David Wardle's film alone. Thank you to all that have taken the time to watch and we hope this has gone some way to help raise awareness for the charities that David has worked so hard to raise money for.

Just a quick update on season two of the LIVING ATHERSTONE series.
We have filmed over half now and are busy finalising the footage.

We would, however, like to pay tribute to the guest we recorded today. Not giving away any names but this chap has done so much for charities and our town over the years. Cycling across the country, swimming lakes and canoeing lochs and waterways, climbing 4 mountains as 3 wasnt enough, all for the good of others. There was not a dry eye in the office today. You know who you are and you have our upmost respect mate. We can’t wait to start showing these.❤️❤️

EXCITING NEWS!!!!

We are delighted to announce that, today (Thursday 30th), we are commencing filming for SEASON 2 of the hugely successful LIVING ATHERSTONE series.

We already have several guests ready to sit in the chair to relive memories and reminisce about their lives in Atherstone, but we may be out looking for more.... So watch out if you are around Atherstone today, you may see us walking around😉

This season will have little twist and you may even see us in different locations.....

What an amazing journey we have had with the first season of LIVING ATHERSTONE.

Thank you to all who have taken part and all that have watched, commented and shared the videos. This is what our community is all about and how our town comes together in good times and bad, sharing stories and experiences and supporting each other where we can. It's the people that makes this town and we have some wonderful people living here.

In this special episode, we shine the spotlight on the indomitable Carol Evans, the events queen of our town. Without Carol's tireless dedication and boundless enthusiasm, many of the vibrant events that define Atherstone simply wouldn't come to fruition. As a pivotal figure sitting on numerous committees and contributing tirelessly to our community, Carol embodies the spirit of Atherstone. Join us as we celebrate her invaluable contributions and bid farewell to our first series with a tribute to one of our town's most cherished champions.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to each and every one of you who has joined us on this journey through the first series of LIVING ATHERSTONE. Your support and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring.
