We're full-time family van lifers from the UK, having sold our house and most of our things, we're now travelling across the globe with the hopes of eventually finding somewhere to call home. 🚐

What homeschooling looked like for us today… 🍦🌿

A walk, a squirrel, a book, an ice cream shop and a whole lot of learning hidden along the way.

Tomorrow will probably look completely different. And that’s the beauty of it 💕✨

Who knew there was a theme park this close to Lake Garda?! 🎢🇮🇹

… I mean, we did 😂 This was actually our second visit to Gardaland, with a 3 and 5 year old Lily.

There are rides for little ones, Peppa Pig Land, bigger thrills, shows and loads to explore, the theming is so good too, so theres plenty for the whole family.

🎢 Good to know:

🎟️ Book tickets in advance — it can help avoid some of the queues on the day. We booked ours through

🐶 It’s dog friendly! — dogs can come into the park with you. it was 30 degrees when we went so Pippin was happier staying in the air conditioned motorhome.

🚐 Travelling by motorhome? — there is dedicated camper parking at Gardaland. Follow the signs for the Bus Park to reach it. Spaces are limited and camper parking needs to be booked online. Overnight stays aren’t permitted.

If you’re planning a Lake Garda family holiday, I’d definitely add this one to the list. 🎢✨

And if you’re planning your trip, my Lake Garda guide is now live with our favourite towns, places to stay, things to do, beaches, boat trips and more 🇮🇹

One of our favourite family finds in the Dolomites 🏔️✨

📍 Pana Raida Adventure Trail

It’s a free outdoor adventure park tucked away in the mountains, with wooden play areas, climbing frames, slides, balancing trails and incredible views around every corner.

Good to know…

💶 Entry is completely free.

🚐 Parking is €3, there’s no overnight parking. It’s a steep and pretty right drive up but doable (we’re 6.5m and had not issues)

🚡 If you don’t want to drive there is a cable car in peak season (this wasn’t open when we went)

🥾 Easy trail, takes a couple of hours to get around

🪙 Bring some €2 coins with you for the wooden ball runs

🌦️ The weather can change pretty quickly, make sure you pack a waterproof jacket, don’t trust Apple weather up in the mountains.

If you’re planning a Dolomites road trip with kids, I’d definitely add this to your itinerary.

Save this for later and follow Clare Somewhere ✨ for more family friendly adventures 💕✨

…but if you ever get the chance, don’t think twice. 🏔️✨

Some places really are every bit as magical as they look on your screen. I had literal tears whilst driving though 🥹✨
