Where are my night owls 🦉🙋‍♀️?

People with ADHD are more likely to be a night owl, and to have a delayed circadian rhythm.

👉 This means that everything is pushed back. You’re more tired in the morning, you don’t have energy until the afternoon or evening, and you naturally want to go to sleep later at night than the average person.

While you can’t change your circadian rhythm, you can shift it.

I shifted mine 2-3 hours earlier so I can live and work in the normal business world.

You shift it slowly with outdoor light during the day, minimizing light at night, regular meals, and sometimes low doses of melatonin.

‼️While it’s simple, it’s not easy. Work with a practitioner if you need a guide (you can book a call with me!)

What questions do you have about this?

Hormones imbalances are one possible underlying cause for histamine tolerance and MCAS ⬇️

Whether it’s estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, insulin, or stress hormones—all of these systems can play a big role in histamine release.

I’ll be talking about this in depth in my upcoming masterclass, Histamine Reset 🌟

My favorite way to eat sprouts 👇

I started making “sprout-shots” nearly 10 years ago at the recommendation of my doctor to increase sulforaphane in my diet.

It’s so simple & easy I never stopped!

Think of them like a wheatgrass or turmeric superfood shot. Quick, easy, and packed with nutrients.

Tip: start with a small amount of sprouts and increase slowly! If the taste is too strong, add more water and some lemon.

Why make sprout shots?
• They’re packed with antioxidants
• Anti-inflammatory
• Properties that may reduce the big C
• Broccoli sprouts can help to balance estrogen levels
• They’re good for your gut!

I grew my own sprouts for years, but had trouble keeping up with rinsing twice a day, storing them, and eating in time!

Now I get all of my sprouts from . They’re the only sprout I will buy because they’re grown with patented low temperature technology that makes any risk of food borne illness almost ZERO!

If you want a kid friendly alternative to the sprout shot, comment SMOOTHIE and I’ll share my favorite recipe that includes sprouts ❤️

Let's dive into a topic close to my heart: understanding how we relate to our neurodivergent brains! 🧠✨

Many of us with ADHD carry baggage from the past – memories of being treated as if we were broken or lazy.

Those patterns of shame, “just trying harder”, and trying to fix yourself are ineffective and exhausting.

Imagine your brain as a unique shape, not quite fitting the usual mold. And you know what? That's totally fine! 🌈 Embrace the differences; they're what make you, YOU.

Your brain isn't a puzzle to solve; it's a masterpiece to understand. The challenges you face are unique, and that's not just okay – it's wonderful! 🌟

In my work with clients, we uncover the quirks of their unique brains and discover fresh ways to tackle daily tasks, navigate work, nurture relationships, and live your life.

If your brain isn't cookie-cutter, why should your approach to life be?

Ready to celebrate your brain's awesomeness? 🚀💙 Let's chat about unlocking your unique potential!

I have two spaces left to work together in January! DM me to see if it’s a good fit 🫶

Getting diagnosed with ADHD can be a LOT!

Most people go through at least 4 stages:
• Relief and validation
• Grief
• Overwhelm
• Acceptance and Hope

What was diagnosis like for you? Was there a stage I missed?

P.S. watch muted with captions if you’re sensitive to sounds! I’m troubleshooting a mic issue and there’s a high pitch caught a few times 😩

Do you struggle to exercise consistently?

Or really… to do anything consistently? 🫠

One of the most common struggles for my ADHD clients is to maintain long term consistency.

ADHD’ers tend to be very all or nothing with our habits. It’s CrossFit 5x a week or laying on the couch watching TV for 6 months.

One way out of this cycle is to keep frequency the same but dial intensity up or down.

Tired, sick, and underslept? Walk or yoga for me.

Healthy, happy, and energized? Give it everything you’ve got!

Are you familiar with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD)?

RSD describes the intense emotional response to perceived rejection or criticism, that many people with ADHD experience.

It’s not part of the diagnostic criteria, but it’s often considered part of the emotional dysregulation of ADHD.

It may show up as…

*Hyper-Sensitivity to Criticism

*Fear of Rejection

*Avoidance of Criticism

*Emotional Responses out of proportion to the event

*Negative Impact on Self-Esteem

It’s important to note that while RSD is often linked to ADHD, it can also be present in individuals without ADHD.

These symptoms are also very human and can be normal or related to other mental health conditions.

Understanding and recognizing these emotional responses is a crucial step toward developing effective coping mechanisms and fostering emotional well-being.

What questions do you have about RSD?

This episode of might change everything you thought you knew about ADHD!!!!!

Dr. Laura Gouge, a licensed naturopathic doctor and nutritionist, joins Michelle to explore a holistic viewpoint on ADHD and treatment, including the RCCX genetic theory which illuminates it’s link to various health conditions and stress responses such as mast cell activation syndrome.

We talk about the beautiful brains of those with ADHD diagnoses, different co-morbid conditions (some of which are surprising!) and what the experience of having ADHD and being a highly sensitive person can feel like

You can’t miss this episode!

Here is part 3 of health conditions you may not know are associated with ADHD—hormone edition!

People with ADHD are more likely to experience PMDD, endometriosis, and postpartum depression and anxiety.

Moms with PCOS are more likely to have kids that develop ADHD, AND are more likely to have ADHD symptoms themselves.

I’m doing this series because our symptoms don’t exist in separate systems. Our body is a whole, and an imbalance can manifest in many different ways.

Hormone conditions may be more likely in people with ADHD: 1) due to RCCX gene mutation, 2) inflammation, 3) greater sensitivity to fluctuating hormone levels, and 4) systemic mineral imbalances that impact the body in many ways.

What questions do you have about ADHD and hormones?

3 reasons I love matcha as part of an ADHD-friendly morning routine 🍵👇

• Matcha contains a unique combination of caffeine with the calming amino acid L-theanine. Studies have shown that this combo supports concentration, alertness, improved task switching, and prolonged focus without jitters or a caffeine-crash.

• Matcha is less likely to cause anxiety than traditional stimulants, and may actually reduce anxiety levels!

• A cup of matcha contains a huge boost of a type of antioxidant called catechins, which can support reducing inflammation, less oxidative stress, supporting a healthy immune system, and they can even help to slow the aging process and give your skin a healthy glow.

I use matcha because I never liked the taste of matcha before I tried theirs! It’s fresh, bright, and tastes wonderful with a little bit of maple syrup + milk (any kind you like!). It’s triple tested for heavy metals, mycotoxins, and impurities.

💚 Get 15% off your order in my bio 🌟

🍵I also love that it’s easy to prepare—all you have to do is add hot water!

What’s your favorite way to drink matcha? Comment below ⬇️

Got RSD triggers?

Here are the three steps I use with my clients:

1. Awareness: get to know the little familiar voice that comes up with you feel rejected or criticized

2. Writing: I like either journaling or using the Clarity app to explore your thoughts. You can get some distance this way, and potentially see things more rationally. Clarity guides you through a CBT process that can be very helpful!

3. Regulation: do something to self-soothe! Breathe, meditate, walk, or whatever feels good to you 💛

What helps you with rejection sensitive dysphoria triggers?
