Finally figured out the audio problem I’ve been having last 3 attempts at streams.
So I started my LFGTVonline journey at the same time these issues started.
I have a 2 pc set up, with obs on one machine and rekordbox on the other, both pcs connected to my flx10 via the 2 usb sockets on the flx10, this negates my need for audio cables and soundcard, which can be a cause of interference, so I find this set up works well for me.
Issue I have is I have the lfg chat in a dock as per their guide on how to get lfg chat on obs.
I’ve been experiencing a delayed echo of my stream coming through on stream and also through my headphones.
I initially thought it was the rekordbox update, which my opinion of that strengthened when they released 7.2.1 and 7.2.2 in between stream attempts.
Still had the same issue last night and through troubleshooting I figured out it was coming from the obs machine side rather than the rekordbox side.
Checked all my audio settings and couldn’t see any stray audio sources on the obs audio interface, which by now was really starting to get frustrating.
I uninstalled obs and installed a fully clean version, which took several hours to get everything back the way I want my stream, went to do a test stream and same issue.
Just as I was about to completely give up I realised there was sound coming from the lfg chat dock, which wasn’t showing up as a potential sound source on the audio interface.
So long story short, when I’ve got the lfg chat dock on obs, when I go live, it’s then picking up my stream on that dock and playing it back through my system with no way of turning the volume off (could alter my window and mute the stream each time but that’s not only a pain in the arse, but will also mean I’ll get the issue slightly at the start of every stream as no way of muting the stream until it’s gone live)
So my options now are to stream to LFG without a chat window, which really isn’t an option as means I can’t interact with my viewers there, or to just not stream to lfg until they make a pop out chat window like every other platform has, which I’m thinking is my preferred option right now.
It’s pretty sad that it’s my option right now as I love the platform, but I cannot keep cancelling streams just to have that one platform active.
