Introducing Amy Scott and Sami

The current Miss Scotland, Amy Scott represented Scotland on the global stage in May at Miss World in Telengana, India after being crowned in 2024 - Passionate about making a difference, she’s campaigned for Multiple Sclerosis awareness across the country, raising thousands of pounds in honour of her cousin and working closely with charities supporting people living with the condition. Now, Amy’s stepping into the Strictly ballroom. With no formal background in dance, she’s been throwing all her effort into rehearsals with her partner Sami in the lead-up to the show, determined to give the judges a performance to be proud of.

Sami is a Glasgow based dancer who is looking forward to returning to the Ayrshire stage to help support two great charities and to take part in the most flamboyant evening in dance!

A day of fabulous music with 5 bands – Ayr Phoenix Folk Club, Cafeorchestra, Wildcard, Memphis and Escapade - will be held at Belleisle Conservatory, Belleisle Park, Doonfoot Road, Ayr KA7 4DU, on Sunday the 10th of August from noon until 5pm (weather permitting). Entry is free but we ask that you dig deep and donate, as the event, organised by Willie Scott of Escapade and BCL, is in aid of the conservatory to raise much needed funding.

It costs £50k a year to sustain our beautiful unique venue and every penny raised goes towards that. Refreshments – tea/coffee and home baking, bar and BBQ burgers will also be available to purchase.

Please come along and join us for a fun afternoon.
