The David Allan Show

The David Allan Show Broadcasting fortnightly on Wednesdays 9-11PM

UWS Radio's answer to Radio 6 Music Live Wednesdays from 5-6pm. Watt covering rock and more alt. music as well.

Featuring David Allan as host, playing a variety of music from the 60s onwards with a tendency to play Post Punk/New Wave/Electronic/Indie Music. Until January 2013 David was joined by Chris Houston and Chris Watt, and the show was 2 hours long with a mix of music and banter

Generally 60s-Modern music was played, with David tending to play Post Punk/New Wave/Alternative stuff (as well as some Sc

ottish Indie stuff in occassional UWS Presents takeovers), Houston playing 80s Pop (with some more modern tunes too) and Mr. "We'd like to think we have UWSRadio's most diverse selection of music..." This show made UWSRadio history when, on the 26th July 2013, a Vinyl-only show was broadcast, the first time this happened in the station's history. Listen in on 87.7FM, dab or online at http://www.uwsradio.scot & tune-in

Long time, no post!

A long, long hiatus due to busy-ness comes to an end - for one night only.

That's right, the David Allan Show, which has likely had more comebacks than Phil Collins (at this rate) will be back on the airwaves next Monday from 6.30-8pm as part of the marathon 36-hour relaunch & charity broadcast.

For more details, be sure to be following UWS Radio on socials!

...and here we are - the first piece of sort-of radio I've done in basically a year.
A one off 'at home' unofficial 8th anniversary edition of the show. Since it's not been/going to be broadcast on the radio, there's a couple of swearies in there (hence the explicit tag).

I've also added in a tracklist so you can listen to the tunes and skip my poor chat if you so desire.

Speaking of tunes, I lined up some stuff from:
BETA WAVES, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, Tame Impala, (A remix of) Giorgio Moroder, Miaoux Miaoux, Russell Stewart, Sade, Prince, Culann, Mt. Doubt, Man of Moon, Duran Duran and (of course) New Order.

Time really flies!

This past year has been fairly quiet on the radio front from me - keep your eyes peeled here on Wednesday though (the show's broadcast day) as I may be sharing something 👀
