Hello, Autumn 2025 🍁 πŸ‘‹ Lake District is already at its full colours 😍. We bagged Pillar at 892m and a rewarding beautiful view of Wastwater from the top at the end of this route. There were more Wainwrights to bag in this horseshoe route but because I'm still recovering from the flu we had to bypass Black Crag and Yewbarrow. Not too bad as we still covered 11 miles and 1,100m in total elevation.

I hope to do this again next year πŸ™Œ. My very first experience of sleeping in a tent on top of a mountain and it was in a very special place - Trolltunga! Best decision I've ever made to spend a night there. I was alone but I bravely joined a group even when I didn't know anyone. I enjoyed the company and the very delicious freshly cooked food!

πŸ“Montmorency falls in Old Quebec City! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
At 83m high, this majestic falls is taller than Niagara Falls by 30m. I took the cable lift down, hoping I could walk under the falls, but the trail is still closed due to ice. I then crossed the suspended bridge and had a closer look at the spectacular views with St. Lawrence River streches out in the background. The Via Ferrata and Zipline activities are only available in summer, I would have tried them even if I was travelling solo. πŸ˜†

πŸ“Mont Tremblant, Quebec Canada.
My colleagues and I brazed the Canadian winter up in the mountain at -20 deg C. I was already wearing 4 layers on top and 2 layers of thermal bottom (I was the most prepared for hiking among the 3 of us) and yet still felt cold and underdressed for the weather. Most of the hiking paths are closed due to the skiing season. The place was busy we were so jealous of skiiers as it was the perfect weather for skiing. We will try skiing next time πŸ˜πŸ‚

Revisiting Trinnacle in Dovestone Reservoir with Anna who is celebrating her birthday today. No shame in wearing my kiddie flowery jacket (luckily, there were only a few people in the area πŸ˜‰).
