'At 9:30 this morning, Fedex delivered a box... filled with treasure... The first copies of "ON ALL THE SEVEN SEAS"!'

Bill Miller is absolutely delighted with the publication of his new book for Fonthill Media.

'Like a child at Christmas, I hurriedly opened the box... and MAGNIFICENCE! What a beautifully produced, top-notch, high quality and thoroughly first-class production! And a fine hardover too! I am so proud, so happy, so delighted! Three loud cheers to Jay, Jasper and the rest of the Fonthill crew. And to Pen & Sword. I have penned over 125 ocean liner books in the past 55 years, but "ON ALL THE SEVEN SEAS" is one of the very best.
What production! What history! What a year for us!'

On All the Seven Seas: Travel Aboard Passenger Ships is a collection of stories of various sea and river voyages made by the author in the 1980s. Some ships featured are now gone, leaving precious memories that have become the substance of pure maritime nostalgia. Others are still plying the globe, taking on new passengers, generating new memories with every stretch of water crossed. The stories include experiences on vessels as illustrious as the QE2 and as obscure as Poland's little Stefan Batory.

Going far beyond the ordinary, the author recounts taking a twelve-passenger containership to the Far East, joining a mail steamer along the fabled Norwegian coast in the depths of winter, and getting swept up in a carnival cruise in the sunny Caribbean. On All the Seven Seas is a love letter to the world’s rivers, seas and oceans and the passenger-carrying vessels that ply them.

Known as Mr Ocean Liner, Bill Miller has written over 100 books on ocean liners – early ships, ships in war, cruise ships and smaller passenger ships. He has also written over 100 articles and is a frequent and popular guest speaker on cruise liners. To date, he has made over 450 voyages. Miller has also appeared in many television shows and documentaries.

‘My book is now in stock at The Well in Toronto, right beneath Obama and Springsteen where it belongs!’

Anne Harrison is thrilled with “SPICE GIRLS: SONG BY SONG”, her first book for Fonthill Media.

‘Thank you so much to everyone who came out to my book event in Cornwall yesterday, it was really just… beyond incredible. Thank you to Amanda from for organising it and to all the family members, friends and strangers who took time out of their day to say hi and grab a copy (it was so busy that I’m missing photos with some key loved ones who showed up which is annoying but a good problem to have!) The whole day meant a lot to me and I’m very overwhelmed and grateful.’

Examines iconic moments in the band’s career through a new lens, with revelations about what was going on behind the scenes

In the mid-1990s the Spice Girls burst onto the music scene in towering platform shoes and promptly dominated the radio waves with a string of joyously catchy chart-topping anthems about female friendship. While other groups aimed for uniformity, the Spice Girls were unrefined but infectiously fun, with five distinct personalities: Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh, and Sporty. By pairing their boundless charm with irresistible pop tunes, the Spice Girls cemented their status as icons in the annals of music history, where they remain the best-selling girl group of all time. Relive the heady days of Spicemania by taking a deep dive into the group’s discography, exploring everything from their smash hits to their underrated gems. Spice Girls: Song by Song goes behind the scenes to examine the genesis, development, and significance of each track, while revisiting major milestones in the band’s career, including their formation, their fight for creative control, their subsequent rise to superstardom, and the pressures of fame.

Anne Harrison is a Canadian writer and pop culture enthusiast who enjoys dissecting the musical phenomena that linger in the hearts and minds of the masses long after leaving the charts. She runs the successful Spice Girls Nostalgia Instagram account where she contextualizes iconic '90s images for legions of Spice fans who, like her, cannot let go of the Girl Power era. She graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and now lives in Toronto with her husband and two precious pugs.

Craig Moore is delighted with the recent publication of "THE PANZER ARCHIVES, VOLUME 1: PANZER II-IV, PRAGA TNH-P (PANZER 38(T)), E-100, MOUSE 1-MAN TANK AND ARMOURED CARS"

Order: bit.ly/49zBRtO

During the Second World War, the British War Office instructed their military engineers and scientists to examine captured enemy armoured vehicles and tanks and determine their mechanical specifications and abilities, and most importantly, how to destroy them. This vital information was then passed on to battlefield officers via briefings and technical summaries attached to General Orders. After the war, these secret reports were sent for storage to different archives around Britain. They have now been declassified.

The Panzer Archives series reveals these reports in a single collection. Most have never been published. The original style of language and presentation has been retained, and the photographs have been reproduced. This first volume contains briefings on the Panzer 38(t), Panzer II, Panzer III and Panzer IV, wire mesh skirting, the E-100 tank, the Mouse 1-man light tank, and the Italian AB41 and German light amphibious Turtle armoured cars.

'We don’t have the romance of Liverpool or the football teams of Manchester, but we have the balti,' says Andy Munro, an enthusiast of this dish who is campaigning for balti to be given living heritage status. 'It was born here and it needs to be attributed to the city. London’s got jellied eels and pie and mash, but balti knocks that right out of the water.'

'Save the balti! Can Birmingham’s best dish come back from the brink?': www.theguardian.com/food/2026/jun/02/balti-birmingham-best-dish-back-from-brink

Munro is the author of "THE BALTI: ITS BIRTH, ITS BOOM YEARS AND BEYOND"

Order: https://fml.pub/balti

The Balti charts the story of one of Britain’s most iconic dishes, from its birth in 1975 in Birmingham’s Balti Triangle, through the height of its popularity in the 1990s, to its more recent demise—though not disappearance—in competition with a proliferation of burger joints and dessert parlours.
Interviews with chefs and owners give a rare insight into the running of family restaurants and the massive impact the balti has had on many of Birmingham’s businesses, bringing back happy memories of the ‘balti boom’ to aficionados in the city, the Black Country, and beyond.
As a slightly obsessed aficionado himself, Andy Munro shares some of the best and most authentic balti recipes out there, given by the greatest balti houses past and present, and delves into the manufacturing history and health benefits of the unique Birmingham-made carbon steel ‘balti bowl’, which gives the curry its name.

💥📘"Macaulay Culkin took my only copy."

The actor of Home Alone (1990) grabbed David Juskow's author copy of "JOHN HUGHES: FILM BY FILM" while they both worked on a McDonald's commercial last night.

"Me and my friend Jeff were helping him punch-up a commercial he's doing for Christmas. He was so fascinated by all my Home Alone knowledge, he wanted to read the book and I gave it to him."

John Hughes reshaped growing up with humanized parents, unforgettable characters, and enduring, era-spanning films.

There are very few directors for whom you can say “that’s his or her brand of film”, but the legendary John Hughes is undoubtedly one of them. He presented a different perspective on growing up, showing parents to be much more human than movies had previously shown them to be. His ability to capture the experiences and emotions of young people, and to create relatable and memorable characters, has made his films enduring classics that continue to resonate with audiences young and old. The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Ferris Buhler’s Day Off are beloved works that defined a generation on the movie screen.

Additionally, Hughes’s work as a screenwriter (often completing scripts over a single weekend) contributed vastly to the success of many films, some of which he is not sufficiently credited for. As the 1980s ended, Hughes demonstrated his versatility as a filmmaker by making comedies targeting adult audiences over teens—films that have found their place in the hearts of many. This book celebrates the movies of John Hughes and the good times they have brought us, while examining the man behind the legacy.

Author Francis Pulham is overjoyed with the release of 'TANKS ON THE BATTLEFIELD: T-34" where it was announced at the recent Overlord Show 2026.

Pulham is dressed as a soldier during the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran in August 1941.

Tanks on the Battlefield: T-34 is the first book in a new photographic series presenting original, unpublished photographs of tanks and military equipment taken on the battlefield by active servicemen, usually of the opposing force, complete with captions providing historical context and essential data and information.

And where better to start than the T-34?

The venerable Soviet workhorse of the Second World War was arguably the most iconic tank ever produced, achieving a battlefield reputation rivalled only by such legends as the Sherman and Tiger. This book lays out in detail the T-34’s production and combat history, alongside photographs taken by German, American and Israeli soldiers, each of whom, in various theatres, have faced the T-34 in battle.
