One of our favourite quiet corners of North Devon ☕🌊

We usually grab a coffee from the café at Northam Burrows, drive around to this entrance at Watertown and just sit there drinking it for a while watching the estuary.

You can wander around to Greysands Beach and see where Estuary meets sea but so far we have just wandered in the locality if the car park really.

You see campervans parked up for the day. There was even a chap valeting his car whilst his wife soaked up the sun the other day ☀️

Not much happens here... and that's exactly why we like it 😊 and understand it is not for everyone.

A little bit of Saturday sunshine from Instow ☀️🌊

With today's rain, I thought I'd revisit a much brighter North Devon moment from the weekend 😊

We stopped off at John's for my daughter to get her current obsession Iced Matcha Latte!!

The tide was out, but the little boats looked lovely sitting on the sand ⛵️

I had time for a wander along by the Quay today. It is always so peaceful down here, and the bench at the bottom looks out over the River Torridge towards Instow.

In the sunny weather, like today it is warm, but the shade of the trees, gives a respite from the heat. ☀️

We don't spend as much time here during the summer because of the beach dog restrictions, but we still do some evening visits sometimes for dinner, but mostly stopping for a look 😊

Looking from Northam Burrows towards Westward Ho!, then back along the coast towards Saunton. A little reminder that this stretch of North Devon is waiting whenever you need some sea air.

A little Northam Burrows coffee stop ☕🌿

If you’re heading up by the visitor centre, there’s a lovely little café tucked up there too. Perfect after a wander over the pebble ridge or around the Burrows.
