We didn't go far yesterday as stuff to do, but neither of us realised this was the start of the half term weeks, and I am pretty sure everyone was at Saunton for the day!! Twice whilst we were there, it was gridlock with cars everywhere. I couldn't take photos on the beach because there were too many people. We even had to drink our after wander coffee in the car!!! But with a view like this (not taken yesterday), who could complain 😁

Lots of things planned for half term 😊

Free fun for all the family at Northam Burrows this half term❗️

The ranger team at Northam Burrows have some exciting free activities planned for this February half term for all the family to enjoy. So, if you're stuck for something to do and want to keep the children entertained while getting some fresh air, why not check out what's going on.

🔹On Tuesday 18 February, head to the Northam Burrows visitor centre at 2pm to discover more about owls and in particular owl pellets. Between 2pm and 4pm there will also be the opportunity to find out about the work of the Devon Harvest Mouse Project and meet some of their amazingly cute ambassadors! Visitors will also get the chance to make a mouse finger puppet.

🔹 On Thursday 20 February, find the rangers on the beach near Westward Ho! Slipway between 2pm and 4pm for a 'Rockpool Ramble' and discover the strange and wonderful creatures that lurk in the rockpools at low tide.

🔹There will also be a beach clean with Plastic Free Torridge and Northam Burrows rangers on Saturday 15 February. Anyone wanting to join should head to the Westward Ho! slipway for 10.30am.

No booking is required for any of the organised events, but children must be accompanied by an adult and appropriate clothing and footwear is advised. If you're like Torridge's hungry rangers some snacks and drinks may also be a good idea.

I took a quick photo the other day of the view from thectraffic lights in Ilfracombe on the way out towards Combe Martin way. It is just such a lovely view, especially on a blue sky day like it was. With just my eyes, I could see Wales in a fair bit of detail that my phone couldn't see. Can anyone think of a better British traffic light view?

I looked at my follower count today and am absolutely blown away with the 8.3k I found. So this funny photo is me saying thank you to you all and reminding you all there will be some lovely North Devon photos and videos coming next year. I have a few things to achieve in 2025 that have been carried over due to too much wind and rain!! So on the cards are boat trips!! Clovelly and drone videos!! Also of course, I will just add anything in that looks lovely along the way. Thank you again for joining me in exploring North Devon 😁

This is the entrance to Croyde Beach from the top end where the Ranger Station is and a stunning entrance to the beach on this side. The light on Friday was that lovely misty look where the sea is like a mirror and the blues and greys combine into something beautiful. It wasn't warm though lol, I regretted forgetting my bobblehat!!
