Sharing “Today this could have been a disaster for Bellever Forest and Dartmoor. Luckily the smoke was spotted from the B3212 and the fire brigade were called at 8am this morning. A huge disaster has been averted. Evidence suggests the people responsible were camping and left their rubbish including 2 cans of butane gas. We’re so grateful to Devon and Somerset Fire Service. We’ll remain here for a few hours so that we’re sure it won’t reignite.
Please, please heed the advice received on every single mobile phone in the UK yesterday. DO NOT light a flame anywhere.”
