We currently have two vacancies listed through the Government's Kickstart job scheme - a Digital Marketing Executive and an Event Project Assistant. If you fancy working on large scale events, including everything from Hallowe'en Parades to live music, this could be the role for you.

Contracted hours are 25 hours per week, although occasional work at unsociable times and weekend work may be required.

Please note, although the job location is listed in Ayrshire, the vast majority of work takes place across the Greater Glasgow area.

Very pleased to say that we have two Kickstart vacancies opening today at BH Events. These vacancies offer an opportunity for 2 young people (aged 16-24) to work with us gaining experience across a range of events (both real-world and virtual) for an initial 6-month contract, with a potential to become permanent.

If you are, or know anyone, in this age group and looking for work in events this may be a role for you.

BH Events have worked at some of the biggest events in Scotland over the years and also launched an online platform in March this year which has to date had over 5million video views and raised over £80,000 for various charities.

These roles would be suited to someone who is creative, hard working, willing to learn, can work in a team but is also comfortable and confident using their own initiative.

We have hosted so many virtual events over lockdown (120 and counting!) that we never got to do that all important admin stuff, such as update our website, until now!

We've finally managed to get our new branding up there (thanks to Stewart Chown for the graphics help), and are ready to get back to real-world events when we're allowed!

We had a great night at the all about Barrhead Awards last night - always nice to be involved in such positive community events.

Next up we have the I Love Clarkston Community Awards at the The Busby Hotel, where we're sponsoring a table for each of the 'Young Person of the year' finalists.

Later this month we've also got Jamie Cullum at the Clyde Auditorium (Armadillo); Jax Jones, Blossoms and Circa Waves at O2 Academy Glasgow and Ci******es After S*x at Barrowland Ballroom!

A huge thanks to everyone who helped out at events with ourselves this year. Some of the team are enjoying a Christmas Day out clay pigeon shooting today. Well done to Stevie of Tentu who took down the top shooter prize!

We're sorry - it's been forever since we've posted here, but things have been very busy over here at Big Hand HQ.

- We launched the first ever I Love Clarkston Community Awards and the All About Barrhead Awards early in the year, both of which will return in 2020.
- We project managed the Spice Girls at Murrayfield Stadium
- We were involved in on-the-ground event management at both TRNSMT Festival and Glasgow Summer Sessions
- Another sold out year of the Barrhead Rainbow Run
- Managed the on-the-day and advance process of countless live music shows, including ARCHITECTS, Kate Nash, Lighthouse Family, Enter Shikari, Death Cab for Cutie, Example, Hanson, Freya Ridings, Foals, Noname, Hot Chip, James Morrison and Rex Orange County to name but a few!
- Our highlight of the year was once again providing the project and event management for Edinburgh Summer Sessions - which delivered a record NINE nights of live music in Princes Street Gardens, featuring the likes of Florence + The Machine, The Courteeners, Primal Scream, Madness, CHVRCHES and man of the moment Lewis Capaldi!

We're seeing out the year with Christmas Light Switch On events, with An Awfy Scottish Winter Wonderland this Saturday before a short UK tour with J.I.D to round off December.

2020 has a lot to live up to - but with project and event management already agreed for The Killers at The Falkirk Stadium, Edinburgh Summer Sessions and more, we can't wait!

Off to the University of the West of Scotland again today, this time to talk to Events Management students on how we got into the industry and the journey we've had along the way.

We’re not always working on live music shows and festivals! Today we announced the finalists for the I Love Clarkston Community Awards which will take place on Friday 1 March.

We’ve managed this project from the very start and it’s exciting to see people getting recognised for their hard work!

This summer is setting up to be one of the biggest yet for the team at Big Hand Events - with one of the highlights being the only UK date on the Spice Girls tour!

We'll be project managing the Murrayfield Stadium date of the tour on Saturday 8 June - we can't wait to see what the show brings!
