You might have spotted a new face out on the tools recently.

Jack’s been with the DAV crew for six months now and he’s settled right in. He’s been busy smashing the CCTV installs and Starlink setups across South Cumbria and North Lancs.

He’s starting to take on more solo work now, though you’ll still see him teamed up with Paul and Jamie on the bigger installs. He’s loving the work and doing a cracking job for our customers.

The sun in these photos feels like a distant memory already, doesn't it?

Jamie was out last week getting this WiFi 7 system installed. The main aim was sorting a dead spot that was making the garden a bit of a no-go zone for the internet.

It’s a frustration we see a lot: great signal in the lounge, but nothing once you step outside. We’ve got it sorted now so there’s full, reliable coverage right across the whole property.

Just a straightforward, tidy install by the DAV team to make sure everything actually works where it's needed.

Cracking sunny day in the Lakes for this one.

The owners of this camping pod wanted a reliable TV signal for their guests without having to rely on the internet. It can be a bit of a bind when the Wi-Fi drops out right in the middle of a film, especially in more rural spots.

We tucked the aerial away at the rear and ran all the cabling underneath the pod to keep everything looking clean. It's a much tidier finish and means no messy wires ruining the look of the place.

Job done. Not a bad spot to spend a few hours at all.

Cracking spot for a job right by the river, though these rural locations usually mean the broadband is a bit of a bind.

The customer was struggling with sluggish speeds and a patchy TV signal, so we got them sorted with a Starlink installation and a new aerial on the slate.

It’s a proper setup now: reliable internet for the house and all the Freeview channels coming in crystal clear.

Nice to get it all finished up before the weather turned. Good to be out on the tools for this one.

This customer wasn't feeling confident in their old alarm: it was a bit dated and they hated the idea of it going off with nobody around to check it.

We've just finished installing this Ajax wireless system for them. The big win is the smartphone integration; they now get instant alerts the second anything is triggered, no matter where they are.

Proper result for rural Cumbria this. 🚜

A lot of folks out this way have been stuck in a bit of a bind: living in a cracking spot but with internet speeds that feel like they're from the 90s. It wasn't just the slow downloads that were the bother; it was the frustration of paying top whack for a service that barely worked when you actually needed to get some graft done or just relax in the evening.

This Windermere house is surrounded by tall trees, which made for a really tricky signal. The customer was struggling with break-ups and missing channels because of the woods.

After plenty of testing on different parts of the roof, we found the sweet spot to ensure perfect reception. Crystal clear TV sorted. 📺💻

Calving and lambing season is just around the corner, which usually means a lot of late nights and freezing cold trips out to the barn for our local farmers!

We were over in Lindal-in-Furness the other day getting some Hikvision PTZ cameras sorted for a local farm. The best part? Now they can keep a proper eye on the livestock right from their phone. Whether they’re in the kitchen having a brew or tucked up in bed, they can check in on the girls and zoom in for a closer look without having to trek across the yard every hour.

Anything that saves a bit of legwork and gets you a few extra minutes of sleep during the busy season is a win in our books! 😴
