AKIVA and Ivan James return to Saturo with a new, collaborative record “Ashdla’i”. Label
newcomer, Montreal-based artist, Gawina Gawina-Music , provides luscious, ethereal vocal textures paying homage to her First Nations roots, complimenting the percussion-heavy instrumental foundation, replete with dissonant chord progressions throughout the ride.

📝 She writes “With this track, I journeyed into the spirit of my Indigenous roots. I let their essence rise through layered vocals—echoes that ripple across time. They move in harmony with the pulse of Indie Dance, threading ancestral memory into the fabric of the present.”

💫 The last Saturo release featuring Akiva and Ivan James, “When We Touch”, smashed
the melodic, progressive and indie dance charts. To say we are excited for this one is an understatement.

Ivan James is a DJ, music producer, and co-founder of Saturo Sounds Drawing on an lengthy obsession with electronic music covering House, Techno, Electro, Progressive House, Breaks, Experimental, Chill, and everything in between, Ivan’s DJ sets and productions are crafted without limits with a focus on providing an unforgettable experience for the listener. This prompted Astir Recordings label boss Simon Huxtable recently to state “Ivan encapsulates a lost time in prog with a no-holds barred approach and freedom of spirit many of us forget”.
