Twenty-one-year-old Arthur Green has been handed the Bath number eight jersey for Sunday's trip to the StoneX Stadium after earning his spot in the matchday squad with a strong display in the PREM Rugby Cup.

With Alfie Barbeary and Jaco Coetzee injured, Green comes in as the club's next specialist number eight. He is joined in the back row by Scotland's Josh Bayliss and Miles Reid.

Beno Obano and Tom Dunn start in the front row, alongside Thomas du Toit who this week was named in World Rugby’s 2025 Dream Team. Quinn Roux and Charlie Ewels lock-in in the second row, with Ewels returning fresh from international duty with England having recovered from a knee injury.

Ben Spencer and Finn Russell also return from international duty to pull on the Blue, Black and White as Bath’s starting half-backs.

Johann van Graan confirmed that star England centre Ollie Lawrence will be sidelined for at least a couple more weeks after injuring his hamstring on international duty this Autumn.

The good news for van Graan is that, despite being without Lawrence, he has a trio of international centres in Scotland duo Cam Redpath and Chris Harris, and man of the moment Max Ojomoh to call upon this week, plus the ever-reliable Will Butt. Ojomoh was named player of the match on his home debut for England on Sunday in the 27-23 win over Argentina and has been the talk of the town ever since, after seizing his moment.

In the more immediate future, Bath look set to be without another pair of their England stars for the trip to Saracens, with tighthead prop Will Stuart an injury doubt and flanker Guy Pepper on holiday.

Max Ojomoh insists England's midfield riches inspired his outstanding Allianz Stadium debut against Argentina on Sunday.

Bath's Ojomoh was a late replacement at inside centre after Fraser Dingwall had been ruled out by a side strain and the 25-year-old responded with a man-of-the-match performance in which he scored one try and created two more.

It leaves Steve Borthwick with a selection headache for the Six Nations opener against Wales on February 7 with Ojomoh, Dingwall and Seb Atkinson competing to start for what has long been a problem position for England.

Bath Rugby laboured to a 20-0 win over Sale Sharks at a wet Recreation Ground on Saturday to get back on track in the PREM Rugby Cup.

The hosts were clinical in the first half with three well-taken tries with Dan Frost, Tom de Glanville and Arthur Green scoring, while Sale had a try disallowed to make it 15-0 at halftime.

Bath could only manage one try in the second half with Will Butt dotting down, but they secured the bonus point win to move into third in Pool A of the PREM Rugby Cup.
