Aerial Silks Grounded Flow Workshop
Come and learn a few simple but effective silks moves, blend with some floorwork and discover the magic that happens when the grace and drama of aerial silks meets the fluidity of floor-based movement. In this workshop, we explore ground-to-air transitions, creative wraps, dramatic movements & rolling pathways, all while staying connected to the floor.

Perfect for beginners wanting to build confidence or experienced aerialists craving new inspiration, this session invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the fabric guide you.

You’ll learn to:
🐒 Flow with the silks in grounded sequences
🐒 Develop body awareness, strength & softness
🐒 Explore creative movement and personal style
🐒 Find effortless transitions between floor and fabric

Here's a sneaky peek at the inside of a pole class here at Funky Monkey 👀
If you've ever seen a professional pole dancer in action, then you know this is potentially an incredibly beautiful art form.
But, please don't underestimate what it takes to get to that point...
Dedication to developing your mind and body...
Consistency, training your strength and flexibility over time...
Commitment, showing up, again and again, practising your pole skills over and over so you can make it all look effortless - when believe me - it isn't!
and that's just to start with if your going to perform you'll also need to build confidence so you can have stage presence, you'll need to develop general dance skills, including fluidity of movement & musicality, you'll also need to be able to think creatively too, choreograph you own unique performance pieces, creating a vision for the stage set, lighting and costumes as well as the music/sound to accompany your performance piece.
Even if you never take to the stage, the benefits of all this effort are available to you...
