Join Reel Life Monsters and .the.dolls.bristol on 19th October for a special 60th Anniversary event in celebration of Carry on Screaming!
The first of two ‘sister screenings’ (or is it screamings?) - keep an eye on the PtD socials for more details 👀 - themed around classic 60s camp, Reel Life Monsters will be taking over the Servant’s Quarters at No. 1 Royal Crescent | Bath to bring you all an evening of exceedingly excellent horror-comedy with the spookiest, silliest Carry On film out there.
Follow Detective Inspector B**g (Harry H. Corbett), Doctor Watt (Kenneth Williams), his sister Valeria (Fenella Fielding), and the young lovers Doris (Angela Douglas) and Albert (Jim Dale) as they put on a laugh-laden romp of a horror parody, complete with all the b***y brilliance you’d expect from the most (in)famous film series in British history.
After the film is finished, and we’ve all had a little break to calm down, we’ll also be hosting a panel discussion with Project the Dolls, and Bath Spa University’s Darren Kerr, so make sure that you stick around for that as well!
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the film starting at 7pm, and we can’t wait to see you all there.
✨Accessibility Information✨
The Servant’s Quarters at No. 1 Royal Crescent are accessible via stairs or lift, and there is a wheelchair accessible bathroom available.
Unfortunately, in order to protect the furniture and displays, No. 1 Royal Crescent does not allow mobility scooters, however manual wheelchairs are allowed; they have one manual wheelchair that can be borrowed if needed, so please email us at [email protected] if you need us to put it aside for you.
The film will have descriptive subtitles.
Please check doesthedogdie.com or a similar website for content warnings - the film is reasonably tame in terms of scares, but we want everyone to have a safe and fun viewing experience, so better safe than sorry!
