A busy couple of weeks!

I did another remix for Kniteforce Records. This time it was Mega City 2 - Nightwalker;
I like to work standing up (pic 1)
I used the Juno 6 to make the lead chord sounds which evolve over the breakdown. I use tape to mark the sweet spots on the filter.
And the final arrange window for the remix!

(Pic 4) Will Oldham recording Mandolin overdubs for his album, which is now finished.

(Pic 5,6). Stokey and very lively dog recording backing vocals for The Headless Way's next single. Everyone loves a dog!

(Pic 7) And Gracie-May recording originals and covers. Gracie-May asked me to remix and produce her tracks. We did a UK Garage style for one and a full on DnB smasher for the other!
All good.

I have a DJ gig this weekend and this is my set up.

I also have a walking pad that goes under my rising desk so I can get my steps in while I'm stuck behind a computer!

Will Silver starting the recording process for his extended album.

The secret to a great recording is a great player. It is the person playing the instruments that makes the 'sound'.

Will has a punchy, groovy playing style and a legitimately individual voice. This I like!

Because of the style of music, I choose to record the ambiance of the room we were recording in. This means I can add in a more 'live' sound as and when. This is shown in the picture of the 2 black mics in blumlein setup.

Awesome!
