Celebrating Arthur! 🎉

Arthur joined the emc team in 2024, bringing with him a unique background spanning education to medical research—before landing in the industry he’s always dreamed of: publishing! Now, as a Project Coordinator, he keeps things running smoothly and on schedule (we suspect he has a spreadsheet for everything).

Outside of work, Arthur’s all about sports (playing and watching), board games, and diving into historical facts. He’s also a total foodie, always experimenting in the kitchen to whip up flavours from around the globe. 🌍🎲⚾

Celebrating Niamh! 🎉

Niamh joined emc in summer 2022 fresh from graduating with a degree in Graphic Design—and she’s been diving headfirst into creative projects ever since! She especially loves designing covers and is always hunting for clever shortcuts and new techniques to make things look slick and work smarter.

When she’s off the clock, Niamh enjoys paddle boarding (sunshine required!), hitting the gym, and whipping up tasty new recipes in the kitchen. 🍳☀️💪

Celebrating Lindsey and Josie! 🎉

Lindsey joined emc in 2006 fresh from completing her HND at Bedford College—and she’s been unleashing her creativity on our projects ever since! A lifelong lover of art, she thrives on drawing, painting, and all things hands-on. Her favourite projects? Student’s books, especially secondary and adult ELT, where she can dive into realia and facsimile creation.

When she’s not crafting visual magic, Lindsey’s probably rocking out to some glorious 80s hair metal (no shame, just volume). 🤘🎧

Josie joined emc in July 2017 through our graduate scheme, fresh from Bedford College with a degree—and a big love—for typography and illustration. By day, she’s all about precision and creativity. By night, she’s whipping up stunning hand-lettering pieces and sharing them with the world on social media.

When she’s not designing or lettering, Josie stays active with yoga sessions or bike rides—because balance is everything! 💪✨

Meet Lauren Hall, an illustrator and designer based in Sheffield! She creates playful, character-focused compositions filled with cheerfully relatable people and animals. 🐶👫

Lauren's work features bold shapes and vivid color combinations that immediately draw you in. Inspired by the everyday, her art often reflects people-watching and nature. 🌳👀

Her hand-drawn quality and charming observations give her illustrations an endearing, human touch.

Celebrating Jordan! 🎉

Jordan joined emc in July 2013 after graduating from Birmingham City University, bringing with him a passion for art and design—and a love for any creative process that involves getting a bit messy (the more paint, the better!).

Outside the studio, Jordan’s either on the pitch playing sports or taking on his next epic eating challenge. Think competitive spirit meets creative flair! 🏀🌭💥

Celebrating Kristina! 🎉

After years of freelancing as both an illustrator and designer, Kristina joined emc in 2014 to dive even deeper into the creative world—and she’s been sprinkling magic on our projects ever since! With a background in illustration, she thrives in the most artistic corners of the job, especially when it comes to realia and tweaking artwork to perfection.

Outside of work, Kristina helps run the Circus of Illustration—a brilliant bunch of local artists who pop up around Bedford with events and exhibitions that get people drawing. 🎪🖌️
