Emma joined emc in 2012 as a junior designer fresh from Falmouth University, where she studied graphic design. With a passion for editorial design and typographic detail, emc has been the perfect home for her creativity. She’s always learning new tricks in InDesign—while trying to remember the shortcuts that actually matter!

When she’s not crafting beautiful layouts, Emma’s happiest by the seaside, rocking out at a punk gig, or planning her next adventure to Japan. 🏖️🎸🇯🇵

Celebrating Toby! 🎉

Toby joined emc after graduating with a degree in graphic design from the University of Lincoln, where he discovered his love for handmade design, traditional printing, and typographic experimentation. Since then, he’s been levelling up his technical side—mastering shortcuts and tricks to keep projects running smoothly.

Outside the studio, Toby swaps layouts for Warhammer models, painting them in meticulous detail, or heads to the pitch for a game of football. 🏟️🎨⚔️

Meet Sean, one of KJA greats! Talented, reliable, and adaptable, Sean excels in a wide range of illustrative mediums. Specializing in vector illustrations, his unique style shines across a variety of briefs, and he can seamlessly match other illustration styles with perfect precision. 🌟✍️

Sean's illustrations have graced publications and agency campaigns worldwide, from education textbooks and magazine covers to 60-sheet advertising posters. He's also recently been shortlisted for a prestigious design prize! 🏆🌍

Matt joined emc in September 2024 with a degree in Graphic Communication and solid experience in publishing design. Passionate about art, typography, and editorial design, he’s keen to keep levelling up his skills and becoming an even more versatile, innovative designer.

When he’s not crafting beautiful layouts, you’ll probably find Matt smashing a shuttlecock on the badminton court, rocking out at live gigs, or carefully adding just one more cactus to his growing plant family. 🎶🏸🌵

Janet joined emc in 2014 as we began expanding the non-design side of the business, bringing with her over 20 years of editorial experience. She still gets a buzz from crafting beautiful, error-free publications—typos and rogue apostrophes don’t stand a chance!

Outside of work, Janet’s all about lazy summer braais (BBQs), countryside walks with her other half, quality time with friends, and indulging in the best British TV dramas and cooking shows. 📺🌳🍽️

Celebrating Becky! 🎉

Becky joined emc design in August 2013 right after graduating from the University of Reading with a degree in Graphic Communication—and she’s been bringing creativity and precision to our projects ever since!

Outside of work, Becky loves drawing, painting, curling up with a good detective novel, and hitting the badminton court. She’s also a big animal lover, with a soft spot for dogs in particular (the fluffier, the better!). 🔍🏸🐶
