X-ray, MRI, and CT – What’s the Difference? 🧠
Medical scans are amazing tools that let us see inside the body without surgery:
X-ray (1895 discovery): Uses radiation to quickly show bones, teeth, and chest images. Perfect for spotting fractures and lung issues.
CT Scan (Computed Tomography): A powerful series of X-rays taken from different angles to create 3D cross-sections of the body. Great for detecting tumours, internal bleeding, or organ damage.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): Instead of radiation, it uses magnets and radio waves to capture highly detailed images, especially of the brain, muscles, and soft tissues.
Together, these technologies have completely changed modern medicine, helping doctors diagnose and treat diseases earlier and more accurately.
