Acting for Screen classes continue at The Shelley Lowry School.

This week we viewed the junior classes’ short films that they completed over this first term (whilst enjoying some popcorn!), worked on the Southern Irish accent and reviewed performances from our Actor’s showcase at The Mac earlier in the year.

Students are advancing well, completing assessments in Animal Studies, Stanislavsky and an introduction to accent training thus far.

Students follow a syllabus that has been approved and accredited by Spotlight.

Congratulations to our fabulous new signing Maria Connolly who has started working on Brassneck’s People’s Panto ‘Snow White’ as the Evil Queen.

Maria was recently on our screens in the BAFTA award winning Blue Lights playing ‘Bea’ and is also known for her fabulous role in Line Of Duty ‘Alison Merchant.’

Maria has an impressive list of credits across film, tv and theatre and we are honoured to have her join our team. ❤️

Great night at the Belfast Film Festival celebrating the premiere of ‘Love In Belfast’ written and directed by our client Gary Duffy.

The feature film was a true labour of love for the incredibly driven and dedicated Gary whose passion and commitment resulted in this major achievement.

The film stars our clients Brian Devlin, Elaine Duncan, Walter Nwanja, Micky Bartlett, Ashley Montgomery and of course Gary Duffy.

I am proud to say Gary cast the other actors whom all have taken or are currently taking our Acting For Screen classes. ❤️
