5am wake-up. 6am training. And honestly? I loved it. ❤️

There’s something about getting up early, moving my body and starting the day with purpose that just puts me in a completely different headspace.

It was also so good to be back training with the people I normally see each week. Good session, good vibes, good people… and I walked out feeling energised rather than exhausted.

I’m back to work next week, so this week feels like the perfect time to start rebuilding my routine.

And I’m actually looking forward to it.

I absolutely needed the slower pace of summer. We travelled, ate out, drank more than usual, relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.

And I’m not sorry about any of it. ❤️

Sometimes we give ourselves such a hard time for letting go of our routines, when actually… sometimes we need to.

Life isn’t supposed to be one long challenge.

Sometimes you need to let your hair down, enjoy the pizza, have the drinks and make memories.

Then, when you’re ready, you come back to the habits that make you feel good.

For me, that’s happening now.

Back to early mornings.
Back to structure.
Back to training.
Back to work.

And this time I’m taking 75 Hard with me.

Because if there’s one thing I don’t want this year, it’s for “being busy” to become an excuse to stop looking after myself.

Back to routine, but not back to restriction.

I think I finally figured out what I actually need. ❤️

I’m really good at showing up when there’s a plan.

Give me a challenge, a deadline and something to work towards and I’ll give it everything I’ve got.

But take away the structure?

That’s where I wobble.

And summer has shown me that.

So this challenge isn’t about chasing a certain weight or looking a certain way.

It’s about discipline.

Keeping promises to myself.

Doing the things I’ve said I’m going to do, especially on the days when nobody is checking.

It’s about building the ability to create my own structure instead of waiting for someone else to give it to me.

Day 2/75.

Let’s see what happens when I stop negotiating with myself. 👀❤️

Last full day in Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️

And honestly? This summer I’ve done a bit of everything.

I’ve trained, run, competed, travelled, relaxed, eaten, drank and enjoyed myself.

And I haven’t felt guilty about any of it. ❤️

But now it’s time to reset.

Tomorrow I start 75 HARD.

75 days of:

🏋️ 2 workouts a day
🥗 Stick to my nutrition
💧 3.5L water
🚫 No takeaways
🚫 No alcohol
📖 10 pages of personal development
📸 Daily progress photo

The physical side doesn’t scare me.

The mental challenge does.

Especially nutrition… and remembering that bloody daily photo. 😂

Day 1 starts in Spain 🇪🇸
Day 75 finishes in Nice 🇫🇷
With most of the work happening back home in Ireland.

I’m going to document the whole thing here.

The good days.

The hard days.

The days I don’t want to do it.

And the days I absolutely smash it.

Who’s joining me? 👀

Let’s start tomorrow.

It’s easier to do it together than alone. ❤️

5K in Barcelona before the day properly begins. 🇪🇸☀️

First ever run on holiday by myself! 🙌

It was already 26°C when I headed out, with temperatures due to hit 34 today, so getting it done early was definitely the sensible option. 😂

It was warm… VERY warm.

I broke it down into 1K running + 1 minute walking and just enjoyed being out there.

No pace goals.

No pressure.

Just getting my run in, seeing a little bit of Barcelona and starting the day feeling good.

Sometimes the goal is simply to show up.

Late July roundup… and what a month it’s been ❤️

Graduation celebrations 🎓
2 fitness events 💪🏼
Some big runs 🏃🏼‍♀️
A little bit of travel ✈️
Plenty of training
Walks, downtime, family time… and lots of memories in between.

July was busy, full, sometimes chaotic, but mostly just really, really good.

I absolutely love this little life we continue to build ❤️

Here’s to the memories, the miles and everything in between 🥂✨

A little reminder that balance doesn’t always look pretty… 😂🍕🍸

I haven’t posted from Saturday’s run because Saturday afternoon turned into an unexpected night out at The Fleadh Cheoil na h’Eireann first visit to Belfast.

We planned on staying for a couple of hours.

Two spicy margaritas later… let’s just say I have absolutely no idea where the rest of the night went. 😂

There was more drinking than intended.

Pizza to finish the night.

A cheeseburger and curry chips the next day because the hangover demanded it. 😂

And honestly?

I don’t regret a single bit of it.

We haven’t had a night out like that in a long time. We rarely drink, and when we do it’s usually one or two.

The two-day hangover?
Not something I could handle regularly. 😂

But that’s the point.

A healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean never having the drinks.

It doesn’t mean saying no to the pizza.

It doesn’t mean every weekend has to look “perfect.”

Sometimes you go out.

Sometimes you eat the burger.

Sometimes you have an absolutely horrific hangover. 😂

Then you get back to the basics.

You don’t punish yourself.

You don’t starve yourself.

You don’t decide you’ve ruined everything.

You just pick up where you left off.

And that’s exactly what I did this morning.

Session done. 🙌

Balance isn’t perfection. It’s knowing how to come back. ❤️

17K. Done. 🙌

It started well.

I felt good.

Then somewhere between 9K and 12K… everything fell apart. 😂

I wanted to stop.

I wanted to go home.

But I’d started, so I was going to finish.

And I did.

Was it pretty? No.

Did I enjoy every minute? Absolutely not. 😂

But every time I finish one of these runs, I’m building something that has nothing to do with pace…

I’m building resilience.

I’m teaching myself that I can keep going when things get hard.

So I’ll keep showing up.

I’ll keep doing the miles.

And surely… SURELY one day these long runs are going to start feeling easier. 😂🙈

I didn’t think I’d get emotional over a little Toyota Yaris… but here we are. 🥹❤️

This is the last video I’ll ever make sitting in this car.

The car I learned to drive in.

The car I passed my test in at 45.

The car that gave me the confidence to take my very first solo drive to the beach… which, if you know me, was the whole reason I wanted to learn to drive in the first place.

It carried me and Sean to more hospital appointments than I can count.

It brought me to the hospital while he was admitted.

It took us on little road trips when life finally started to feel a bit lighter again.

It’s where I’ve recorded countless videos for this page.

And somewhere along the way, it quietly became part of my story.

This little car gave me more than a way to get from A to B.

It gave me confidence.

Freedom.

Independence.

It helped me believe I could do things that once felt impossible.

Today, I handed over the keys.

And while I’m so excited to collect my new car, I just wanted to say thank you to the little Yaris that carried me through so much.

I hope it now becomes part of someone else’s story and gives them the same confidence it gave me.

Sometimes it’s never really about the car…

It’s about the person you became while driving it.

It’s crazy the difference five days can make… ❤️

At the start of this week I felt a bit flat.

I was overthinking everything, lacking a bit of routine and just didn’t quite feel like myself.

So I did what I always encourage other people to do…

I got back to the basics.

🥗 Cleaned up my nutrition.
🏋️ Showed up to my gym sessions.
🏃‍♀️ Got my runs done.

I didn’t wait to feel motivated.

I took action first.

And little by little, I started to feel like me again.

This morning’s 6am class was exactly what I needed. Great session, great people and the best start to the day.

And to top it all off…

Today’s the day I pick up my new car! 🤍

If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be here, I honestly don’t think I’d have believed you.

That’s a story for another day…

For now, the sun is shining, my vibes are high and it’s going to be a great day.

Today’s run reminded me just how much can change when you keep showing up. ❤️

Tempo Thursday.

A run I used to overthink before I’d even left the house.

Today, I met up with a friend I haven’t run with in ages, held the pace we were aiming for, chatted the whole way and even jogged the cool-down home.

Seven kilometres later, I realised something…

A few months ago, I would’ve been focused on whether I was fast enough.

Today, I was focused on enjoying the run.

That’s the kind of progress that doesn’t always show up on a watch.

It shows up in your confidence.

Your mindset.

And the fact you’re starting to love something you once found intimidating.

Keep showing up.

One run at a time.
