X-Men: Apocalypse - QuickFire Review (Spoiler Free)

A great movie to end this prequel trilogy. I have just seen the movie so this is my initial reaction.

- - - - Cast Performance: - - - -
All cast members perform brilliantly, part of me now prefers these new actors to their older counterparts. However, Ian McKellen's Magneto will always be a favourite. Stand out performances go to Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

- - - - Story: - - - -
The story is fantastic, the introduction of Apocalypse is clear and intriguing, the birth of the four horsemen is also done well, and the lead up to the final fight is brilliantly paced, fluent and natural. Also want to add that the ending is great and sets up future movies perfectly.

- - - - Cinematography: - - - -
Not much to complain about here, everything looks great. My only complaint would be that sometimes the special effects and CGI is a bit under par for a franchise like this. Don't get me wrong it's not an eye sore (majority of the time it looks great) but sometimes I just felt a few tweaks here and there would have made it look better.

Great movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I highly recommend that you go see it asap!

So rumours are circulating that Chloe Moretz may be joining the MCU as Captain Marvel...because of this picture with a jacket that resembles that of Captain Marvel's costume. I dunno it might be true but I think she might be a bit too young to play the role but if she does I'm sure she would do a good job. ⚡

Got to play about 2 hours worth of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Great game, smooth gameplay, graphics are top quality and the voice acting is superb. Didn't get to play anymore than that but it left me wanting more! If your a fan of the series go out and get it! If you've never played the Uncharted series pick it up! There the ps3 copies and the remastered ps4 bundle! ⚡

Assassin's Creed Movie Trailer Reaction

Yes. Omg yes. Finally yes. Yes. Yes Yes. YES! Assassin's Creed has been one of my favourite game franchises since I played the first one. Many people feel that they have gotten stale, that Ubisoft just don't have the passion anymore. When I heard there wasn't going to be a new game release this year I felt dissapointed, when I heard it was being replaced with a movie...disappointment quickly turned to excitment.

First impressions are that they have captured the essence of Assassin's Creed perfectly. Okay maybe not the music but I'll let that slide because it was probably the PR team who put it in. Some might think the story is very similar to Desmond Miles' story (the protagonist of the series) but is that a bad thing? For me no. Now the animus has changed, it's no longer some kind of iBed. It actually makes sense that the person in the machine should be allowed to move around while connected via the spinal cord (I think it connects that way), mimicking an extreme VR experience. Excellent. Btw for those who don't know the animus accesses ancestral records through DNA allowing said person to experience the life of their anncestor.
*Inception baaaaawwwww*

Now the historical factor, the Spanish inquisition. It looks great, the costumes all look fantastic, the fighting looks as if it was taken straight from the game and so does the parkour. Also the locations look really good, I just hope they kept CGI to a minimum. Michael Fassbender looks like he has done a fantastic job, I hope he portrays his two characters differently and not just act as one character.

So far I think it's going to be a great movie. Maybe thee best game adaptation movie to date.

Battlefield 1 - Inital Trailer Reaction

Holy sh*t... Well I think it's safe to say that Call of Duty has been blown out of the water after this trailer. Even though we are given a game set decades ago it feels fresh. Not the garbage that Call of Duty has been firing out after the success of COD4 (which they are remastering to boost sales *sigh*). The frostbite game engine looks as if it is now being used to it's full potential, I haven't got one complaint about this trailer! The music is also excellent, took me awhile to realise which song it was! The combat looks familiar to previous games but since it's World War we get trench warfare!!!!

Overall the trailer has me excited for this game, can't wait for further trailers!...and of course the actual game because I'm sold on this alone. ⚡
